But what do you guys think??

When I Used Meal Replacements I Just Used Them Between Meals. I Would Eat 5-7 Meals A Day, 2 Protein Shakes And 1-2 Of Those. Those Are Also Good For That Middle Of The Night Feeding.

They are usually junk and not worth drinking!!

If you are running late you are better off quickly adding some oats, a scoop of good protein powder and some skim milk into a shaker bottle and then drinking that.

You could also grab an apple, a tub of sf/ff yoghurt and a scoop of protein powder...

Another thing you can do is you can pre-make some home-made protein bars and put them into the freezer so you can just grap one of these as well!

yes very much, you cant gain unless you eat something to put it on, when i quit using whey (except right after workouts) and added in more carbs from a real good source, oats. i was able to notice a little bit better gain.

id say if you can get away with it, dont use meal replacement as a meal replacement. use them as a supplement to a meal if you cant take in that much food for some reason to get the right amount of protein.

Depends what oats you use for your breakfast.

If you use scotch oats/irish oats/steel cut oats (all different names for the same thing) or whole oats then you need to cook these before you eat them. So don't add these to your shake raw.

If you use thick wholegrain rolled oats then these have already been steamed and rolled once. So they have been 'cooked' before you get them and can be eaten straight as they are. So you can grind them up in a blender and then add them to your protein powder to create a 'carb powder'.

Same thing for quick oats. Quick oats are rolled oats that have been steamed a second time and chopped into smaller peices - which makes them easier to cook when you get them. And these can also be used when ground to add carbs to a shake.

The raw quick oats, because they have been steamed twice, are slightly easier to digest than the wholegrain rolled oats - so if you have trouble with uncooked rolled oats then you can try quick oats.

If you are not sure which oats you are eating then you can click on this link --> Different types of oats.

Natural peanut butter - it means there is no sugar or vegetable oil added to it. The only ingredient should be peanuts (+/- salt in some types).
