    They're trying...hitting abs hard, lots more cardio, low carb...it's the best they've ever been. Just glad I'm doing bikini not figure.

    Next time I squat with someone I will. I've been hitting legs at the old school gym where no one knows me. Better equipment and less high school and college kids taking over the weight room to get ready for spring break. Plus I run into some fun people there every now and then like the local NPC judges lol. I probably won't do any real heavy squats until after this competition or the next. Arnold is in 10 days and my next show is 2 weeks later but I have like 4-5 weeks until my next one so maybe then.

    Today's workout chest/back/abs
    3x10
    DB chest press/pec fly superset 20/15
    Jump rope 2 min
    Bench press 65 (would have gone heavier but my spotter is a little iffy)
    Jump rope 2 min
    Pull ups set 1-5 reps, set 2-5 reps, set 3-6 reps
    Superset seated row/straight arm pulldowns 50lbs for each
    Superset pec deck/pulldown machine 35/65
    Ab machine 65
    Rope crunches 70
    Frog crunch 8x20 sec with 10 sec rest
    Obliques/low abs 8x20 sec with 10 sec rest
    Wore my heart rate monitor and hit 381 calories in an hour. Not bad for upper body. Sitting in the sauna now.

    Kickbox this afternoon for cardio

    Do you have any idea how awkward that would be? Form would be awful bc you'd be so worried about it creeping. Though if you're lifting in a bikini you probably don't really care.

    Bodybuilding is about learning to maximally contract a muscle. It is not about lifting weight. The best bodybuilders in the world are that way because they can contract their muscle harder than you, NOT because they lift more.

    100 calories on the treadmill at 7% incline to warm up

    Band rotator cuff work
    3x10
    Shoulder press machine 20, 20, 15
    Tricep dips 50
    Triset: lateral raise, rear delt fly, side bicep curl w/5's (no rest)
    Triset: bicep curl, shoulder press, upright row 12lb body bar (no rest)

    Still need to get in more cardio and triceps and abs but I had a cancellation this morning so banged this out pretty quick.

    Krista's 2013 AMA Transformation Challenge

    Didn't end up doing anything else last night. Tendinitis is back in my foot so I'm wearing a steroid patch to get that under control. PT gave me some kinesiotape and showed me how to tape it up to stabilize it better bc I still have to get my workouts in. She's mad that I won't rest it but I'm 7 days out and can't afford the time off right now. Burned 551 in spin today, little lower than normal but it was a shorter class. Still have sculpt tonight. Staying low carb and drinking at least a gallon of water a day. Just trying to stay focused and not stress too much about it. All I can do is keep up the diet and keep exercising and my body will end up where it ends up. This is my first big show so we'll see what happens. 40 girls in my height class...

    Burned 411 calories in sculpt tonight. Burned out delts and really hammered abs, especially low abs. Lots of cardio the next few days. I'm trying not to freak out.

    Usually cardio and yoga help clear my mind. Not today. I can't turn it off. Glad I work all day and packed snacks bc I'm dying for a Reese's big cup but I can't have one. Weight is down but I'm still worried. And my stress is messing with my skin. Glad I work with an esthetician who told me some stuff to start doing to get it to clear up. Going to try and get a quick workout in before my next client.
