Bacteriostatic water is considered a prescription item and as such most pharmacies won't sell it to you. I have been able to do it once and never since. Just order some up.

Hey Mike, will it be safe to order at this time of year though. I don't know what will happen to it if it freezes which it probably will through its travel.

It has preservatives in it Situation. I didn't think it would be a prescription item based on this though..

Not really......it has a small amount of Ba to make it sterile. And it is in a vial that you pull from, so it is very different than just plain water and is the reason it is regulated.

It's bacteriostatic. That means it has static bacteria in it or sum10, so it can't freeze.

Yah I read about those static bacteria in my microbiology class. They just stay in the same position making it impossible for water molecules to move around when the temperature changes hence no freezing

Just use some faucet water if you're in a hurry. It's already got the bacteria in it. Just throw in some lint for the static electricity. That way, no $, no wait. You're just making this more difficult than it needs to be mate.

Do you mean you tried this at your pharmacy and it worked? Your profile says you live in Australia so odds are the stuff is regulated differently down there.

If you have some ba you can make it from distilled water. Your solutin needs to be .9% ba to distilled water.

So I talked to a pretty cool pharmacist yesterday. He told me that you do not need to have a prescription to buy bacteriostatic water from the pharmacy. Most don't carry it because there isn't a demand for it. If he ordered it for me it comes in a fairly large amount, about 300 dollars worth, and I'd have to buy it all because he wouldn't be able to sell the rest. I asked him about the effects temperature will have on it and he said to keep it in its target range, if it got too cold from traveling or something like that it'll ruin the preservative that's in it. He told me I could check out some special types of pharmacy's that might carry it, so I'm going to check them out.

I've heard you can use saline solution in a pinch for pinning gh or tides.
Any truth to that?
