    Need experienced help

OK, i'm trying to drop back down to 200lbs within 3 months or so and i'm currently right around 225lbs with around 15 to 18% body fat. I've been taking in around 1800 calories for the past three weeks with a free day on saturday, i'm currently doing p90x and it seems to be working. What I want to know is if you've got any suggestions to help me get cut up quicker and is there any AAS I should be looking into to help me do this faster? I really don't wanna look like the incredible hulk or anything, I just want to keep my frame where it is and tighten everything up. Any SERIOUS advice is welcome....

I highly recommend using Lyle McDonald's "rapid fat loss" aka PSMF to drop the weight while doing some low-volume heavy work in the gym. Once you've dropped the weight, you can switch over to the higher volume conditioning work on maintenance calories. This will work MUCH better, and not destroy you.

1800 cal are you trying to look like an egyptian marathon runner???Moderate cardio at 65% max freq ,alternate with HIIT interval cardio. All the protein you can eat coming from solid food not shakes, preferably from sources like turkey, chicken, tuna, salmon, egg whites. At 400g per day multiply per 4 cal per gram of protein , you have already 1600 cal and that's just half of your cal intake per day.Avoid sodium, dairy products and pasta.4 days almost zero carbs and 3 days high carbs coming from sources like sweet potatoes, oatmeal and brown rice. That's a nice base to begin with!!!!A little extra test with that and you'll be maintaining muscle mass while shedding the fat!If you follow that you're on your way to a beach bod!

If you use fredlabrute's suggestion, you'll need the AAS or you'll drop size. I'm all over his suggestion to increase your calories and your protein if you do this much activity to cut. If you want to drop fat faster, you'll have to ditch most of your current training and do PSMF as I suggested or you WILL drop muscle -again, unless you use AAS.

AAS make shitty programs sort-of work. AAS makes good programs work better.

Few Questions, first what is HIIT stand for? Also, are you saying I should do this each week, meaning 4 days no carbs then the next 3 days high carbs from good sources?

High intensity interval training, 1:2, 1 minute going max in your favorite cardio exercice,2 minutes going at a slow and steady pace. For the diet you were right, when you'll get bored of eating the same thing because you will i swear, you can add some mustard to your fish and salsa to your egg whites omelet. You can eat all the veggies you want except peas, potatoes and carrots. No fruits except strawberry on high carbs day because they have a low GI!No sodium, if you want to use spices,go with Mr Dash!

Because there's allready plenty of it in a diet, makes you retain water! That's the diet i was on when 100% natural, when on roids maybe you can allow yourself to cheat a little.I wouldn't be on that kind of a diet year round, makes me feel weak.Lost min 50 lbs on most of my lift, girls liked my bod after though!!!

Retaining water is exactly what you want though. Water isn't fat, and being well-hydrated is a very good thing for muscle retention/growth.

I ALWAYS salt my food when I'm cutting. I need the salt more during this time than when I'm bulking!

fredlabrute, you're trying to be helpful and we appreciate that here, but your information, though well-intentioned, is considerably flawed. Anyone following your guidelines would do well to do some more reading elsewhere.

Thanks Built, will do my research but for me it did works pretty well.I think there's a differrence between staying hydrated and having subcutaneous water! The only fluid i could drink while on my diet was water, i was drinking at least 10L a day.But then again i couldn't argue with you because in these days i weren't taking anabolics. As you can see, i'm open minded and can admit i was wrong!!!If that's one of your pic beside your profile, i never had abs that etched, so congrats!!!

I think the important when building your bod is always read elsewhere,no offense intended, what works for some don't necessary work for others!

fredlabrute, thanks for not being offended - I can tell you are truly trying to help and offering up your experience.

We are all different, it is true - but we are all far more similar than we are different. What works for you may not work for all. What works for the toughest case is more likely to be generalizable.

Those are my abs, and I wasn't on anabolics. Just food, creatine, fish oil, and a well structured plan.
