Thread: for all interested i never used naps gear i dont swear by them?

I think he just used the wrong name. His point was just that there are plenty of people that swear by sites that aren't cheap. With all the Modding going on right now, it would be easy to get confused.

That would have been me and I appologize. I have been reading a lot of your posts unclem as well as keeping up with JM's log and noted the wrong name. And JM is right, I was only referencing that people on the board recommend NAPS.

Well I'm new to this board and here are my thoughts (as if you care):

A lot of people here are slamming sponsors and saying that they are ripping off people with thier pricing, fine, IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE POSTED OUT IN THE OPEN. The soultion is simple buy elsewhere if you feel that way. Nobody is saying you HAVE to buy from here! The best price is the one a customer is willing to pay.

One of the only reasons this board exists is due to these sponsors, it's not that difficult to understand. Slamming them is a no win situation.

This post is not directed to any one individual or any group of individuals, it's just my opinion. There have just been some really nasty arguments in several threads recently and it's just uncalled for.

Being on boards for years now I have come to learn that this is the way things are.............don't like it? That's fine but you'll probably end up leaving or being banned for something stupid.

I thought the idea of the board was to help one another and learn. Where does bashing sponsors and their pricing fall into?

even bad feedback can help a company become stronger if the people running it care about their customers. without customers a company has no ability to sponsor anyone because they are broke. if noone was buying my antiques it would HELP me to know it was because they found my prices ridiculous and they could get the same exact items elsewhere for much less. constructive criticism can help if it's taken as sound logic and not sand in your face.

ChocolateThunder - being very new to the board, I am assuming you have not been the subject to WP's PM's yet or having them hijack threads with their "pro WP gear" comments. In my opinion commenting about pricing is in fact helpful to others on the board, especially newbie's. Without the members of the boards they sponsor on, they dont have any business.

I believe what prompted the last thread about WP was their latest promo of buy one get one free. Then to post for us to stop asking for the regular discounts members should be getting, like were getting some GREAT price from them is a joke.

The sponsors pay to play and I believe if they were not worthy of having a sponsorship on this site then they would not be here. I been looking around and I see more then a few good places here already. Z's good shit. Naps is cool in my book. world-pharm/Asia pharm is ok but god damn they really could chill the fuck out with spamming the living shit out of boards they dont sponsor. Most of the places they got as sponsors here have been in business for 5-10 years and some even longer.

That's true, and in this situation I agree with you, but some of the stuff being said from member to member in regards to this is just insane. For example:

Poster X: WP FUC*ING SUCKS A$$
Poster Y: Fu%k you poster x they rock!
Poster x: Fu$k you more poster y WP still sucks.

It's stuff like that.

You're correct, I have not been subjected to this, however I have been told that this issue has been resolved from a reliable source. I could understand your frustration. If "newbies" as you call them, don't take the time to search, read and understand products and pricing isn't that on them? How is that taking advantage of someone?

My point is the members don't need to publicly bash on a sponsor. If you want to send PM's......knock yourself out.

Honestly, I know nothing about WP as this is the first I have heard of them.

I think the thing here is that we can all agree to disagree on different things.

CT - I completely agree with you that the comments listed above are unacceptable on the open forum and should be reserved for PMs. But openly discussing pricing of sponsors on this forum should be allowed and expected. If I read guys like JM raving about NAPS service and quality of their gear, then I want to understand why WP is 3x's higher? There are a lot of guys on here that have probably purchased from every sponsor on the board. Asking if one sponsors gear is better "Quality for the money" is reasonable dont you think?

I agree completely. I think slamming a sponsor is uncalled for. I do think that price discussion, especially since it is one click away is a fair point to speak of. If you want people to buy your products, but you sell them for literally 3x the cost of someone else, then you should be given the opportunity to explain WHY you feel your prices are justifed. Deleting or editing threads where people are asking this question is inane. It isnt helping anyones business. People (with any type of brain power) are ALREADY wondering why, at least this gives the sponsor the chance to defend themselves against questions that are already being thought anyway.

Do you think on a car forum, even one being sponsored by GM, that a question of why the Cadillac costs more than an Expedition would be deleted? Or do you think that Chevy would be happy to explain why their product is superior? If you are going to sell something, when prices arent a secret, you NEED to justify your price difference and let the customer decide for themselves.

This is also supposed to be a site to answer questions and help each other out, and we shouldnt have to worry about whether those answers will appease one sponsor over the other. At that point it stops being about helping people, and becomes selling out.

You guys have made excellent points and I understand there is no need for foul language but as far as discussing their price difference I dont see why that should be disclosed. I have never made an online order but will be here in about 2 weeks and Ive chosen naps just because money talks.Seems like WP has excellent service from what Ive read but same goes for naps. If there is a reason their prices are higher I would like to know.If they could prove their products more quality then ok. The difference is huge but I have nothing bad to say because honestly were lucky we even have the opportunity to obtain these goods. To each his own.

i didnt write this to bash anyone, i just want people who pm me alot about different sponsors, that i never gave naps my business so i cant be said to of said that i loved naps which i dont but then i never tried them or heard about how they work. but just the same they are probably good but i have all the sponsors i can handle. thnx guys no disrespect to anyone thinking i started this to bash naps cause that clearly wasnt my intention. i love bbing with all my being and love to learn from much more better knowledgeable people here than i. and there are alot of bbers here that know alot more than i do. so i try and read from them. in anycase iam sorry if it got out of hand. imho
