Thanks CT... Yes. I think with the Accutane scare, all docs are requiring it. He has to get labwork every 4 weeks.

What's his dose of Accutane?
There are some newer studies showing docs were prescribing too high a dose of Accutane. Additionally it has been proven that side effects have a direct relationship to dose. I would examine this angle first and foremost.
Keep him well hydrated at all times.

there has been commercials about trying to help people file lawsuits against accutane because it's giving people certain diseases such as Chron's disease and some other disease I cant remember
How are they still prescribing accutane? there was a recall in 2009 because people were getting inflamitory bowel disease and crones disease.

Thanks Brotha for all the information. I'll definitely get this to my Ex and have her take it to the Doctor. I do believe though, that the typical initial dose is high and then it tapers off to a maintenance dose. I've read some stuff from patients and seems most of them dose in the 60mg to 80/90mg range in the beginning.

i agree with the FDA and everything about how accutane kills all its users and i think all gear should be removed as it causes liver cancer and heart disease and if u look at both drugs u get blinded.

I used accutane twice in the past with no side effects. I think the first time I was 18 and I believe the prescription was 30mg that required blood work every month to check the liver function. No issues and it cleared me up.
The second time I was 26 or 27 and I went on 20mg with no blood work required. Overall I never had any side effects and except for the need to use chapstick all the time even to this day. But it was worth it!
Its great stuff and really helped with my confidence and complexion.
