An Israeli and Pakistani working together....... I didn't know that was possible![]()

A 43 YEAR-OLD former taxi driver and two Pakistani nationals he employed were remanded for eight days yesterday, on suspicion of manufacturing, storing and distributing prohibited substances.
The 43-year-old’s parents aged 72 and 71, who were also arrested were released after no incriminating evidence was found against them.
The former taxi driver however admitted his involvement to the Nicosia district court.
“Yes I produced anabolic steroids” he said.
He then went on to name an Israeli man who allegedly served as his liaison with a huge international drug distribution cartel.
The two Pakistani men denied any involvement in the case but were implicated after the police found documentation incriminating them at one of their homes.
The men were arrested late on Tuesday night after large quantities of raw materials that could be used to manufacture illegal anabolic steroids were located in a laboratory during a police raid in Nicosia.
Cypriot police launched multiple raids on locations around the island yesterday, while similar simultaneous operations were also launched around Europe and in the US.

Police have arrested five people in connection with a large amount of illegal anabolic steroids found in a workshop belonging to a Nicosia company in Latsia Industrial area.
A police spokesman said that the company in question distributes to seven countries, including Cyprus, Netherlands, France, Spain, Ireland and Austria. A search warrant for its premises was issued after information was given to police that banned substances were being manufactured and distributed from the Nicosia warehouse.
The five people arrested are aged 43, 72, 71, 32 and 26 years old and are being held by Nicosia drug investigators for questioning.

Brian WAINSTEINARRESTED In Cape Town, RSA!!!!
This is to informthe public of the arrest of an international fugitive by Cape TownCIPS with the assistance of members of the Flying Squad that tookplace on 8 January 2013. Earlier information received from a reliablesource regarding a suspect who was listed on the INTERPOL wantedlist, was pursued by CIPS members and after further investigation andcontact with local INTERPOL (PTA) the suspect, Brian WAINSTEIN (akaBen Benjamin) -ID.NO: 650210 5208 085 was arrested at hismultimillion Rand hide out where he has been living an hedonisticlifestyle in the Cape Town Waterfront (C10, Juliet Marinas, DockRoad, Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town). The arrest wasexpedited as information received indicated the suspect's imminentintention to leave the RSA. Brian WAINSTEIN had applied to the SouthAfrican Home Affairs Department to have hissurname changed on his Identity Book which would have enabled himthen to apply for a new RSA passport, thus he would have been free totravel the world and not risk being arrested under the numerouswarrants that have been issued against him Internationally.
He recentlytraveled to Johannesburg, where he is not known, to find a lawyerthat would help him fast track the process of acquiring a new IDBook.
In the USA, wherethere is also a warrant for his arrest, Brian Wainstein went underthe alias Trevor Thornton. His ex-wife has recently been releasedfrom jail on parole in the USA, it is not clear at this point in timeif she was convicted under similar charges.
The suspect BrianWAINSTEIN is an SA citizen and is wanted in several other parts ofthe world as he was allegedly involved in the illegal distribution ofhuge quantities of steroids world wide and therefor his appearance onthe steroids most wanted list. He was previously arrested, chargedand found guilty in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
He has beenreleased on a bail of R500'000.- , and he is currently still residingat his flat in the Waterfront, as well as reporting in person to theSea Point SAPS daily to sign the "bail register". The casehas been remanded to 8 February 2013 at the Cape Town MagistratesCourt.
With the help ofhis attorney Brett Carnegie, he is currently fighting his extraditionto Nicosia/Cyprus, which issued his warrant of arrest throughINTERPOL. In order not to be deported and/or serve any jail time, hewill try to enter a plea bargain with the prosecution by agreeing toplead guilty and turn state witness, in exchange he will disclose allinformation regarding his past and present business associates. Thesuspect Brian Wainstein has also hired the services of a personalbodyguard, no doubt to protect himself from his associates and otherpeople that will want to keep him silent. He has recently removed hisnumber plates from his dark blue BMW 750 Li, which he hadpersonalized and registered as ?SHAMROCK WP?. It is believed thathe might have sold that car and went and bought himself a newidentical model, also dark blue, which could explain why he is tryingto keep his vehicle?s number plate a secret.
Brian WAISTEINowns several properties in and around Cape Town, one of which issituated in the up-market suburb of Constantia.
