    Finding a doc

I am 35 years old, 5' 11" tall, currently 154 LBS (with clothes on), body fat at the gym errors out every time and my metabolism is super, super high. 5 years ago I decided (after a serious surgery) to put on weight. I came out of the hospital weighing in at 134 LBS! I got my first gym membership, got a personal trainer and started weight training. I worked on my nutrition, my weight training, supplements, etc. and plateaued out at 155 lbs. This plateau was on par with my strength and did not seem to increase no matter what I did. I was on 3500-4000 calorie diets consisting of roughly 300 Grams of protein, 350 grams of complex carbs for energy and 100 grams of fat daily. It got to the point where I not only couldn't add any more weight, I started getting acid reflux and other digestive issues for which I have not yet seen a doctor for. Good news during this time, my chloesterol was great.

Fast forward 3 years. I met someone that introduced me to the wonderful world of AAS. When you start frequenting the gym for a few years, buy up every supplement in the book and bust your ass in the gym, you can't help but notice the juicers and wonder what it would be like. I won't lie, it was attractive. I watched the documentary "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" which was amazing and I started doing a bit of research. By that time I came across my source, I ended up with 200mg of some test cyp (BD). The guy I was getting it from got it from his uncle who thought it was for him, not me. Long story short, I got advice about using this stuff, coupled with the fact that I had done some basic research to find out this is what I was going to do. Sure, I could get flamed for many aspects of choosing AAS and what I chose, but I'd like to think that I did enough homework before choosing what I did. 10 weeks after my test cyp only cycle, I gained 15 lbs, most of which was water. I kept 10 lbs which wasn't bad considering I passed up my plateau I have had for a couple of years. I knew it wasn't huge growth and didn't want to turn into the hulk, rather slow and steady, but do more than my body wanted to do naturally. It was amazing. 16 weeks later after the cycle ended, I got on 200mg of cyp with 250mg of QV deca. The gains were huge and my plateau disappeared! I went as high as 178 LBS, again most was water weight. The one thing I kept asking for and could never get from my source was any sort of PCT, that being AI, HCG, etc. Needless to say my gains were all lost because of not having proper PCT. My diet was still high in calories and protein, but slowly the gains were lost. It didn't happen immediately, but it fell off due to what I suspect was too much estrogen.

Reason why I am writing this is to find out if there are any doctors in my area that might be able to help me out. I know of HRT, but I don't want to get shut down for using 100mg every 10 days, that seems weak. I don't expect to get 400-600mg, but I would like to see at least 200mg of cyp or 250mg of enth once a week since I have seen positive results. My goal is to reach between 180-190 lbs. I know that a proper PCT is needed and wanted to know what is the best way to find a doc in my area that would be able to help me out. I know it is a long stretch since I'd have to find an anti-aging clinic that isn't covered by insurance, but I'd like to think that there are people out there that can help. Am I dreaming or is it possible? I have what I think are valid concerns and my request isn't for pro BB, rather used to put on weight after some serious surgeries.

I guess I am afraid to go see a doc and get shot down without getting a blood test, or even worse getting HRT with a small dose and no AIs for cycling the HRT. Do doctors even cycle with HRT?

Google anti aging drs in your area. Here by me there are quiet a few that do hrt. Not with test products though. Most will prescribe hcg at 1500 iu 2x per week total of 3000 iu weekly. They just try to keep ur test at the high range for your age. But as a lot of my friends go to these docs they feel better but don't expect to get huge results. It may be different in ur area...good luck to u. They do blood work constantly and give you AI if the estrogen gets too high..ita all based off of blood work though

Thanks cutright. I have looked into anti-aging facilities which do HGH and Test, but none of them work with insurance companies. I have read in numerous blogs that I will be better of with anti-aging clinics since they can prescribe higher dosages than a doc that isn't part of an anti-aging clinic. Blood work I am ok with, getting 100mg test every 10-21 days isn't so cool, not to mention the doc might not have any clue about AIs and just keep pumping you with Test, but I could be way off. Sure, getting gear from a non-legal source costs, but you would think that this could be easier and cheaper using insurance. I guessing the later might not be any more or less cost effective.

Mind if I PM you? I am in the midwest too, maybe you have some recommendations? Thanks for the reply!

Probably because I like test and AIs is just a necessity when running test. I think the answer to my question may be obvious here, cough up the cash for an anti-aging clinic and forget about insurance. Its a damn shame when insurance can cover a medication for a man to get a 24 hour hard on but doesn't want to cover "wellness" treatments. I should be happy I still can get it up I guess.

As of 2006 the FDA has changed guidelines and protocols as how an "anti aging" doc can even use hgh...most are not even aloud to prescribe it now as an effective HRT. Most will use really low dose test...which sucks...that's if your even lucky enough to get that...like I said..I have 7 friends that go regularly..different shapes sizes and age. And all of them got hcg prescribed at 3000iu per week with an AI if needed. I had an appt but decided to self medicate the way I see fit. Pm me if you want...ill give u the doc everyone uses around here

I had several blood tests done over a two year period. They all came back with low scores, not drasticaly low, but Both family docs I used told me it was low. However, only one of them even seemed like he would consider the TRT route. He was upfront and honest about having to have consecutive tests that showed low levels. After the third test I just decided to try a clinic based a few hours from me. Did yet another blood work test and coughed up the $$$. Then I sent my physical form and did a consult over the phone. I then had my cc charged for the plan that I wanted, Test cyp and arimidex. It is dosed at 250mg a week. All in all it was a very easy transaction. The price for the 10 weeks worth of test and needles, anti-e's is higher than if my insurance would pick it up, but I don't care. It's legal, its a good dose, and all in all it is not that expensive.
Pm me if you want the clinic I went through and some proce info.

Thanks guys, I guess I cannot PM until I have 20 posts. I just joined last week. I am not going to posts a ton of threads just to get PMs unlocked. Waste of a perfectly good message board. I hate spam too..

Hey chevyman, what was the cost? I like the HRT cycle given, sounds exactly what I am looking for. I have seen places ask for $395 for initial consult with blood work, but then nothing after that. I know that everything is paid out of pocket, but in total, what did it cost? I'd rather pay a little extra more for legal and not break the bank. Also, are you a muscle car guy? Got an older Trans Am and Camaro for sale if you are interested!

I think it is great that you all have doc's in the USA like that.

the way they do it here is you go to a normal doc and they will do blood and the scoring is diff like say its normal to be 100 - 500, but the low end is 100 and u feel like shit, if u are 100 they will say no your fine. Or like my brother in laws dad he is 65 and he gets told his levels are fine and normal and they wont put him on TRT, but they are saying it is normal for his age and its below the normal for a normal man. But what annoyes me is they will feed him viagra because of ED but the problem is his low testosterone.

    anyway! lol.

    Hope you find one brother.

Got it brother, thanks so much for the info! Price is reasonable for what I am looking for. No sources or prices on the board is an obviously wise choice. I am going to contact them today. Its better to have a doc to help than go this alone. I'll keep everyone posted!

Just a quick update. I got my appointment for blood work scheduled! It will be interesting to see what the lab shows.

Chevyman, thanks again! This helps out big time!

Your welcome. It's not really a "source".lol I'm just not sure if price talk is allowed. It's legal and prescribed by a physician if you meet qualifications so no worries. FYI, your test levels will be lower in the evening or late afternoon versus early morining. Just saying . whatever time you get the test done, try and do the next test at a later date around the same time so you can judge the results more consistantly. Good luck.

Just a quick update. I got my blood work and found out my test is low and estrodial is high. I can't remember what the doc said the estrodial numbers were, but my test was at 266, that being first thing in the morning! Anyways, my doc is helping me out. Thanks to everyone on this thread, especially Chevyman for the guidance!

On a different note, has anyone every used an injectable l-arginine or l-carnitine? I have a script for that and never heard such a thing before.
