Luxtech Labs, arrested in Operation Raw Deal, agrees to plead guilty

Warren Abramson, the owner and operator of Luxtech Labs (sometimes written Lux Tech Labs), has recently pleaded guilty after being arrested in September 2007 during Operation Raw Deal. Abramson wasn’t only selling steroids online under the name Luxtech Labs, he was also growing marijuana, and had several guns and silencers on the premises (a residence leased for the specific purpose of his illegal activities) when he was raided. Abramson has agreed to plead guilty to five different charges, and faces a maximum of 55 years in prison and $1.25m in fines. He was an ex-military police officer…

At the time of his arrest, he had about six and a half kilos worth of hormone powder, or 255,000 dosage units. The average arrest made during ORD (there were 124 of them) would have netted just under 2 kilos of product (242 kilograms of hormone was seized). If we figure that we can manufacture 500 ten milliliter vials (of 200mgs/ml) from each kilo of powder, then we find that Luxtech was sitting on a cache of about 3,250 potential bottles (if we’re talking about injectables). If we assume the guy was selling bottles of 10mg Dianabol (oral) in a 50 count bottle, then the number of potential bottles jumps considerably – but still isn’t really mindblowing. So while Abramson was a slightly bigger fish than most of the people arrested in ORD (who were, realistically, just homebrewers), the marijuana and gun charges (especially with the silencers) was a much bigger deal than the steroid dealing. Honestly, I’d never heard of Luxtech before today, and they really weren’t that big on the ‘boards.

And since this guy was arrested (and has been imprisoned) since September of 2007, which was over three years ago, and his plea deal seems to indicate that he’ll get 36 months plus probation, it appears that he isn’t going to spend much (more) time in prison.
