What is it that makes one substance "kick in" in 3 days vs another in 5 weeks?
If your body is finally responding to one substance say EQ; will the it automatically respond to a new substance (say Test) when it is added in? Or will it still take the natural period of time for the body to respond?
Interested in a scientific type answer not an experience answer; altho if you have experience; I am open.
Your body has to cleave off the esters before it gets to the base anabolic. You have esters which slow the release of hormone into the body. Another scenario that slows things down that varies with different compounds is the carbon atoms. For example Boldenone is testosterone with an added double bond between carbon atoms one and two. However, this bond changes the activity of the steroid considerably. It dramatically slows aromatization, such that boldenone converts to estradiol at about half the rate of testosterone. Orals have a much shorter half life because they are broken down by the liver. Injectables have a more direct route into the body. The esters are really what determine the release rate. You have unesterfied steroids which are released instantly. Some other esters in order of release are Acetate, Propionate, Enanthate, Cypionate, Undecanoate, phenylpropionate, decanoate, undecylenate. I know there are other too but I listed some of the more common ones.

Sorry the order I put the esters in this post was incorrect here is the way they are supposed to be.
So according to the chart in that article long esters are more anabolic/ androgenic than short esters.
Not exactly they start out with a higher Anabolic to Androgenic ration then the ratio gets smaller til its gets to 4 carbon atoms then the ratio begins to climb again and reachs a peak at 11 Carbon atoms.
By the way enanthate has 7 carbon atoms and cypionate has 8.
Here is another example of the half life of esters using testosterone phenylprop. My question is does anyone know the correct half life for testosterone phenylpropionate? I've read different things on it some suggesting that it's half life is almost equal to test prop, others suggesting that it's a slow releasing ester.
I am more inclined to believe the second opinion because half life is dependent on solubility in oil which is determined by the number of carbon atoms the ester has......prop has 3 and phenylprop has 9, which would make it longer than cypionate(8 carbon atoms)
I am thoroughly confused and would appreciate some input. Thanks
Here's some of the info i found
"Steroid esters
Drug Active half-life
Formate 1.5 days
Acetate 3 days
Propionate 4.5 days
**Phenylpropionate 4.5 days
Butyrate 6 days
Valerate 7.5 days

Caproate 9 days
Isocaproate 9 days
Heptanoate 10.5 days
Enanthate 10.5 days
Octanoate 12 days
Cypionate 12 days
Nonanoate 13.5 days
Decanoate 15 days
Undecanoate 16.5 days"
"Testosterone Phenylpropionate: Chemical Formula C28H36O3

so even if your on one thing its still going to take the body time to break down another steroid ester in order for it to release.
Sorry I am not exactly sure what you are asking. I think you are wanting to know if you are injecting two different compounds with different esters that you body will have to break down one at a time? If this is what you are asking then I would say no you body would begin to break both down at the same time but one may release the hormone more quickly based on how long the esters are. The shorter ester will release first. If this is not what you were asking let me know and I will try to find you an answer.

Phenyl 4-5 days, so this matches what I have read, but this chart also shows prop at 4.5 days, and I thought that was more like 2-3 days?
so even if your on one thing its still going to take the body time to break down another steroid eser in order for it to release.
Yes. Think about it this way. Say you have a headache. You take a tylenol for it. It takes let's say 45min to start working. It doesn't really work so you decide to take something stronger, like a vicodin. Just cause you already have tylenol in your system doesn't mean the vicodin is going to kick in as soon as it hits your lips.
It's all determined by the esters of the compound.

I figured as much... just wanted to hear from someone more experience than me...

these are drug half lives, so it's the amount of time it takes 50% of the drug injected to become active. you'll start feeling the prop within 2 days, but that doesn't mean all or even half has been activated, only some. when you start PCT using a drug with a prop ester, you should wait 4 days.
