    Gear Question. Need help please

Hey guys. Im going to be running my first cycle this summer. Test/deca/dbol for 12 weeks. I have a good amount of equipment at home. I have a freeweight machine, 45 degree leg press, preacher curl bench, and dumbells 5-100 in 5 pound increments. I can do pretty much every free weight exercise you can think of, as well as lat pulldowns, seated rows, cable curls, and t bar rows. So my question is, do I need to go to the gym? The only one thats worth a shit near me is 35 minutes away and I would prefer to workout at home but I will do whatever will get me the best results with my cycle. What do you guys think?

You'll be fine as long as you can stay motivated, but you will need to get some leg equipment.

Try using your bench press rack to squat if possible...

As long as you can do all of your core movements at home and keep your intensity up there is no problem training at home. I actually scraped together enough money to buy a barbell and 500lbs of plates and a Pullup, leg raise, and dip station so I can train at home when the gym isn't open. My gym's hours suck on the weekend and sometimes I have to train at home. I actually love it because I feel like I am getting one up on everyone that goes to my gym because they aren't training. I have some of my best workouts at home. Your gym sounds pretty amazing. I would maybe try to go to the gym once a week or one week a month to switch it up. If you want to train it doesn't matter what you have you can make it work you just have to want it. Good luck with your first cycle. I think you will be fine.

How much did all those dumbells cost? Damn. I imagine a leg press wouldn't be cheap either. What do you mean by freeweight machine? You have a lat pulldown? or just the normal pulley system that people use for cable crossovers? Either way it sounds like you've invested a lot. Why not invest in a squat rack to set it off right?

I would join the gym because of the competitive atmosphere. You will push yourself harder too.

It sounds like you have made a sizable investment in your home gym, if you can stay motivated stay there.

PM me for some leg workout suggestions if you want em.

Thats not always true. Sometimes gyms are so crowded that you get fucked into waiting for a bench, dumbbell, or machine to open up. Sometimes even in the middle of your set!!!! That right there will kill anyones motivation.

Also, why do you plan on running three different compounds for your first cycle?

test for a base, deca for my joints (my elbow is messed up) and dbol to kickstart. Most people say dont run the deca but I know a couple people who ran deca on the first with test and dbol and loved it. And its not for sure yet thats just an idea. I still have a lot of research to do before I run anything.
