    Pinning depth

Hey guys, I am using 23g 1" pins for quads and delts and 23g 1.5" for glutes. How far do you guys put the needle in when pinning each of these sites? I would really appreciate it your replies. Take care

all the way in close to the base of the needle. I use a 25G 1 in for all my injections. I do delts, outer quads, and glutes. I have low bodyfat so I get away with the 1 in. for the glute but I make sure it is in all the way. 1.5 in is better for glute though. As long as you have a big slab of muscle at the site you will be ok. If you are really skinny then you might want to use a smaller length.

Whatever speed you are comfortable with. Just be steady on the way in to reduce soreness. Thats all

As deep as you can, just leave as much of the pin out so there is enough room for you to get a grip on it, just in case it snaps off. IMHO.

I know a guy that had a needle snap off in his glute. Then he couldn't get it out.

That's why I always keep enough of the needle exposed....just in case that happens and I have to pull it out. I keep a small pair of needle nose pliers in my "pin bag" as well. Ya never know.
