    Shipping / LE Concern

Posted this in the EK sponsor forum, but posting here as well since there's more traffic here:

Ok, so my package went through customs and was out for delivery, but we weren't home and USPS left a delivery note to come pick it up. Really odd to me and has me concerned as the last time they left it in our mailbox (sent the same priority express mail no sig.)

It's not an oversized package, does not need a signature or anything, but yet they are holding it at the local USPS. I might be paranoid for no reason and would think there is no way LE could be waiting around the post office all day each day until I come get it but again, it just seems really odd to me that they are holding it at the local USPS station.

I've only ordered Int'l a few times in my life and never had any hiccups until now...

    Thanks for any advice/feedback!

I had this same thing happen and I was a nervous wreck. I went into the post office and pulled my shit together acted like a someone who was there to pick up a normal package. They may ask you to sign when you go in. It is sometimes the post office's policy to show that you came in to pick up the package they tried to deliver. I would not worry because if they wanted to bust you they would try to deliver it again. No worries go get your pack!! I am sure it is lonely without you. Haha.

Thanks, that helps and LOL, it is lonely I'm sure!

Definitely seems the least convenient place to bust someone...

If your TOO paranoid, or really feel out of place when you go to get it, leave. It's better to miss out on some gear then a huge court case.

My buddy actually has to do the same thing on monday. We ordered together and he missed his delivery so it is funny I just posted this because he asked me the same question. I wouldn't worry honestly because they can't do it at the post office. It isn't in their favor because you can go in anytime you want. They usually want to do it on their time so they can be ready.

After thinking it through and the input from others I'm not so worried any longer, but you are absolutely right - a little bit of $ is not worth a life altering ordeal and lots of $!

Yep, that is what I am concluding after thinking about it. It would be pretty difficult to try to nab someone when there is no telling when they will come in and it's not a LE facility.

Was thinking the same thing. There is no way LE would stay in a post office around the clock waiting for someone to come in. If they wanted you they would deliver it to your house again.

If they wanted to bust you, they would have bust you. If they plan to bust you, you will get busted.
