Energy level in the toilet, advice?

So as I said my energy level is in the toilet, couldn't even finish my routine today. I felt like I was struggling to do what I did. Arms feel week, grip is bad, just blah ya know. At home I just want to lay down and laze about. My diet is the same although I am having to choke it down. So any tips or advice? I'm running 500mg/week test e right now and .5 adex ED, for what its worth.

    Answer this:

    -How is your sleeping habits?
    -How often do you train?
-When was the last time you took more than a week off from the gym?
    -Any head meds?

Sleep is ok, never been a solid sleeper but it hasn't changed.
Training 3 times a week for 3 hours each time
I took a week off a couple weeks ago due to elbow pain.
And no other meds other then vitamins and such, but not mood changers.

This is likely the issue, or an issue.

Try going for 1 hour MAX 3 times a week after taking 4-7 dyas off. It sounds like your body is trying to tell you something, like take a break.

3 hours 3 times a week is A TON. How many calories do you eat on those days?

3 hours is way too long. I usually can hammer a nice workout in about an hour or less, if I go with a friend less then 1.5 hours.

For energy try a banana, yogurt, a meal thats going to stick to your ribs (as I like to say) like pasta or steak.

Very wise advise CT, 3hr sessions is pretty long. Your muscles as well as your mental status do not like to endure this on a regular basis. I do alot of HIT training total maybe 1.5 hrs. I am guilty of not resting between sets. I do this for a specific reason though!!! I can still go heavy even with minimal rest!!

About 14 different exercises of 5 sets of 6-8 reps, with 1 minute breaks in between sets, and a couple minute breaks in between exercises.

You're just pulling everybodys leg right. 14 movements. 5 sets per movement. That's 70 sets total. Gotta be joking.

Overtraining, my friend!! I would sit down with pen and paper, and re design your program. Ive had to this a few times over the course of 18 years. Believe it or not, seeing it on paper can really help you see your errors and attributes. just my little thing I do for myself....

Also, try using the Adex at 0.5mg EOD as opposed to ED. And as others have stated, it is possible to get more out of a 60-90 minute workout than it is from a 3 hour workout. Quality is more important than quantity. I get so intense and revved up during my workouts that it would be damn near impossible to keep my pedal to the metal for 3 hours! 90 minutes tops. Maybe try 4 sets per exercise. But take a little break and then go back and go with 4 sets per movement and limit your workouts to no more than 90 minutes.

I think if you tone it back to 3-4 days at 1hr a piece you will feel 10x better.

I cannot imagine a 3hr workout. After 1hr im done.

Take a week off. I promise you will grow even on the off week and when you get back in the gym your focus will be through the roof. Maybe re-do your routine around bigger compound lifts with a little isolation here and there. I've done more of this and it's changed my phyisque 10fold .

Training 3 hrs at a time is just going to make you tear down your muscle beyond repair. I am surprised you are not losing muscle and strength. I used to do this too. I was training like this for a little while when I was a couple years younger. I would go and lift weights for an hour and a half then go from the gym, grab a protein shake and head to the MMA gym. We would train MMA for 1-2 hours. I would go home and practically collapse for the night. I was losing weight (muscle) and felt like shit. I actually depleted my muscle glycogen so bad I started to have prediabetic symptoms. My blood glucose would yo-yo up and down. I finally started to fall apart. I went to the doc and had all kinds of tests done everything came back normal. I cut the training back but I still have to deal with hypoglycemia quite often and I honestly believe that it was from training like this for too long. Anyway don't let your body get to this point. When you body is getting overworked, it will send you signals like you described. Don't ignore them or you will be sorry. I learned the hard way. I always listen to my body now. If you fix this, I think your problem will be solved. Best of Luck.

Past an hour, you can't be training hard enough to stimulate any growth. It's about intensity not volume. You're not training for an endurance event!

5 sets? maybe per bodypart.....1 to 2 sets per exercise to failure...the set's not done till you're bleeding from the ears.

OK, I think he gets it. He needs to train less. The other comments here don't help at all.
