Feds Accuse Police of Helping Steroid Dealer

Feds Accuse Police of Helping Steroid Dealer
    By Millard Baker

Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Vizcarrondo accused unidentified officers at the Danbury Police Department of helping the ringleader of a steroid and marijuana trafficking organization. Vizcarrondo told U.S. Magistrate Judge William Garfinkel in open court that alleged drug trafficker Mark Mansa was tipped off by the Danbury Police. Mansa was informed that he was the target of an ongoing federal drug investigation.

Furthermore, Vizcarrondo said that Mansa, the 46-year-old Bethel businessman who federal investigators say headed the steroid operation that numbered Greater Danbury high school student-athletes among its customers, bragged to associates that “his connections go further than the Danbury Police Department.”

The prosecutor said those connections included a lieutenant in the New Milford Police Department and officers in the Wilton Police Department.

The Danbury Police Department was put on the defensive and responded with a statement that denying federal prosecutor’s suggestion that Danbury Police officers had helped the accused steroid and marijuana dealer. The statement pointed out the fact that the Danbury Police initiated the investigation into Mansa and had requested the assistance of federal agents during the course of their investigation.

We believe the notion that a Danbury Officer or Officers provided “protection” will prove to be unfounded. The defendants were arrested by Danbury Officers with assistance from Federal Authorities.

    [...]

To date, we have not received any such credible information, other than the non specific allegations relayed in court on March 1st. We welcome any investigation into the members of the police department, and will cooperate fully with any such investigation.

The Mark Mansa case is primarily a marijuana trafficking investigation. However, Mansa allegedly distributed small quantities of anabolic steroids on a regular basis. The case has received a lot of attention partly to the allegation that Mansa sold steroids to high school student-athletes. Details suggesting an involvement with organized crime and police corruption have also made the case anything but an ordinary steroid investigation.

And I'd love to know how many members of Danbury PD (as well as other PDs) have been on the juice. Take a look at my hometown PD. Especially in summertime patrolling the boardwalk. I'd guess between 25-50% of the officers I see on foot/beach patrol have aas running through their veins. The shaved forearms and pulsating veins running through the middle of their 20" biceps is a hint. Hypocrisy at its best. More proof of the decline of Western civilization.

If the sh*tdick dealer was dealing to teenagers then shame on him but the abuse of authority of those in power is laughable.

Of coarse not. The law doesn't apply to the law. I have seen it repeatedly and it is the biggest pile of bullshit.

Very seldom do people get caught with gear for selling JUST gear. They get greedy as hell an start slinging other shit which more often then not gets them acquainted with alot more people. Usually un trustworthy ones.

And in his time off, he is pinning as much gear as possible to be jerked and tan for when he comes back, of course the gear he's using is what he stole from the source he was helping out in the first place.
