Just got some amps but i keep hearing glass breaking little glass could full in so I fig I ask But got no idea were to look I know their alot fake sites out their
When you break the amp open try scoring it with a small file first then wrap toilet paper around the top and push thetop way from you it should snap right off then use like a 25 to pull the oil out. The small gauge should stop any glass big enough to hurt you.

^^ This. When you're holding the amp and ready to snap it, make sure the scored side is closest to you and snap outwards and away from you.
My girl friend is a nurse and told me about filter needles. Those needles were made for that purpose glass going inside amps so I started using them, but Latsky is right scoring it with a small file work must of the time if you Google amps opener you will find them on line
i run the amp under warm water to help the oil run smoother, then just a quick snap and its done.... i was gunna get some filters but alot of people sais they had been using for years and never had a prob. i just use a 25ga pin try not to jab the glass and you dont even need to change the pin.....thats how i do it, hope that helps
I agree with you if you're good at opening them yeah you don’t have to worry about filter, but me I am not that good yet some time I can open them clean but other time I have a hard time.

I like the warm water technique. I also like the Pen cap. That is how I do my amps. My friend has an amp opener and I really wasn't impressed with it at all. They get wore out and need replaced after so long.
Depends on the glass amp also. I never had a problem with Omandrens, would snap off without a problem on there own. I got Cido's now and the glass is cheap trying to snap the top just falls apart in the fingers. A small triangle shaped file works good to score them first.
