Angry Christian Baseball Player Attacks Manny Ramirez Steroid Use
Angry Christian Baseball Player Attacks Manny Ramirez Steroid Use By Millard Baker
Former Houston Astros’ baseball player Morgan Ensberg felt compelled to lash out at Manny Ramirez by calling him “stupid” as well as “a coward”, “a fake” and “a cheat” in a post on his personal blog. Ramirez recently retired rather than face a 100 game suspension after testing positive for banned performance-enhancing drugs. Ensberg, a self-proclaimed Christian, repeatedly talked about God in his self-righteous blog post entitled “Manny” as he detailed the angry emotions and feelings caused by Ramirez’s recent retirement.
Ensberg inexplicably wrote that he didn’t really say those un-Christian-like things about Manny Ramirez. Apparently, those were only raw emotions and feelings that Ensberg unknowingly typed.
How could you? You coward! You are a fake and a cheat and now you want to retire? No way! You get back out there and you take the pain. You stand in front of the cameras and tell us that you are a fake. Tell us that you only care about money. Look directly into the camera and tell us that you don’t give a crap about baseball and that this was always about money! Look into the camera and tell us that you are so stupid and entitled that you are willing to put anything in your body if you think it will help. You took OVULATION MEDICINE DUDE. You were such a fake, that you put medicine in your body that helps you produce eggs for reproduction. You should have eaten raisins. I hear they help you think.
Ensberg also took the opportunity to thank God for giving him “natural ability” to play professional baseball so that he did not have to be like Manny and use anabolic steroids and performance-enhancing drugs to play in Major League Baseball.
Manny, your actions have reminded me how thankful I am that God blessed me with the natural ability to play in the Big Leagues.
Everyone knows that you can’t be a Christian if you use steroids. Steroid users are just trying to compensate for being overlooked when God decided who was worthy enough to be given baseball talent and who was not.
Wow. those were some harsh remarks. Sounds like Manny robbed a little girl or somthing. I cant understand the anger and hatred towads aas and its users.
Wow... I personally don't care for the use of what the media calls PED's (performance enhancing drugs) in sports. I'm personally for it. It makes the game and competition that much better. This guy is talking garbage about arguably the best right handed hitter that's played the game. Leave him alone and move on... Handle your own business.

If he is unknowingly typing stuff then perhaps he is dumb (just as Manny is according to his rant), or perhaps he was drunk or coked out of his mind.
"I'm not responsible for my actions because, since I was under the influence of anger, I didn't really mean it."
What a fucktard who can't take responsibility for his words, and I mean it.

Manny's an idiot - nothing to do with aas use. Is he a talented hitter? Of course he is. AAS or not - he's still talented right-handed hitter. He has butt-fucked the Yankees over the years with no lubrication. Damn him!
But this Morgan Ensburg character is out of line. I never knew the bible disqualifies Christians who take aas. And I never knew I was taking aas as a result of God passing me over. Thanks Ensburg. You really opened my eyes. You piece of human waste.

You live in England. Nobody outside America follow baseball?
Whoever said Manny is lazy is way off base. All of his teammates have praised his work ethic and said he's one of those 'first to the clubhouse, last to leave' kind of guys. He didn't become the best right handed hitter of all time by being lazy.
As far as this anti-AAS douchebag, I've said it before, I'll say it again: Steroids in sports is as American as invading unstable countries and exploiting their natural resources.
A discussion of “God” and anabolic steroids has curiously interjected itself into the recent retirement of Manny Ramirez from baseball. Ramirez decided to retire rather than face a 100-game suspension resulting from a violation of Major League Baseball’s anti-steroid policy.
Ramirez kicked off the discussion of God and steroids when he told ESPN Deportes in an interview that he was comfortable with the recent events in his life since “God knows what’s best (for me).”
This led Brad Greenberg of Get Religion to question the role of anabolic steroids in God’s plan for Manny Ramirez. Greenberg also criticized major newspapers for their failure to pursue the God and steroids angle:
I’m not sure how steroids figure into God’s plan. [...]
Most papers seem to have picked up the AP story — from the SF Chronicle to the Wall Street Journal — but other original reports also failed to mention what Manny meant by mentioning God. [...]
Look, I know it’s not a story when Albert Pujols touches home plate and points to heaven (though that hasn’t happened much yet this season). But it requires a bit of reporter explanation when one of the greatest players of a generation retires and blames his bad decisions on God.
USA Today highlighted Manny’s God quote in an article entitled “Manny Ramirez saw ‘God’s plan’ in steroids” on their Faith & Reason blog:
Manny Ramirez, the baseball star who evidently never met a drug test he couldn’t fail, says steroids were just God’s plan for him.
Former Houston Astros baseball player Morgan Ensberg also saw the God angle in Ramirez’ retirement but clearly would have disagreed that steroids were part of God’s plan. Instead, Morgan Ensberg believed that God’s plan (at least for Ensberg) involved natural talent and not steroids. “Manny, your actions have reminded me how thankful I am that God blessed me with the natural ability to play in the Big Leagues,” wrote Ensberg in a blog post dedicated to Ramirez.
Who would have predicted that Manny Ramirez (of all people) would inspire a discussion of God and steroids?!

I have no problem with the steroids issue, and the god stuff is comical.
Manny Ramirez is a bum for wrangling his way out of contracts in Boston and L.A. by loafing it during games. His behavior on the field is insulting to the game of baseball. I guarantee nobody he played with in Boston was praising his on-field work ethic where he failed to run out ground balls or even attempt to play defense. He is the perfect example of a wildly talented player whose prima donna attitude ruined his career, and I'm glad he is out of baseball. Also glad he will never make the Hall of Fame. Manny being Manny-what a fucking loser.
By the way-Hank Aaron and Willie Mays were both better right-handed hitters, among others.

Not trying to add fuel but standing my ground when i said Manny is "arguably" the best right handed hitter. Mays had an average of 302. and Hank 305. While Manny is at 312. Nonetheless anything above 300 is amazing.
Funny thing is this guy probably cheated too but never got caught.
Ever m'fer who takes the field has used simething. Gears been in the game since 1889(pud galvin) the whole baseball steroids ordeal is a waste of time. Roids are as big of a part of the game as the bat and glove

Henry hit 714 home runs, not counting when he played in the Negro leagues, and Willie hit 660. I hear what you are saying, but I really think there is no comparison at all.

Touché! Youre absolutely right. If only debating was this easy with my significant other... Lol. Women...bigger pain in my ass than pinning! ::sigh::

I was wrong about Hank's HR total-his was 755. 714 was of course Ruth's record that he broke. Amazing thing about Aaron is he had 3700+ hits, too. There is also Jimmy Foxx, Joe Dimaggio and Hank Greenburg to consider. Forgive me-I love to talk about baseball-bores my wife to tears!

.312 BA and 555 homers is nothing to sneeze at, but is that really the best right hander of all time? Manny had a LONG career, I don't really blame him for trying to extend it, he was dumb for getting caught. OOPS

Amazing was Mattingly .307 super low strikeout king, Boggs .328 (before Margo Adams), Gwynn .338, Puckett .318 Those mother fuckers could HIT.
But hey, in this day and age, add some homers to that spec sheet too, and over 300 is very good, to be fair to Manny.
