whats up guys. i just shot 1/2 cc of primo in my tricep with a 25 guage 5/8 pin. immediately when i pulled it out it started bleeding and left a small raised bump at the injection site. the bump came immediatly after the injection. what do i do should i be worried?
Maybe too cloee to the skin or some of the primo could have leaked into the surrounding sub-q tissues. If it isn't red or hot to the touch it shouldn't be an issue.
The way to prevent oil build up or sub-q leakage is to massage heavily for the first and to use z-track(not possible in tris i grant you) or to simply let the needle sit in the whole after injecting for a bit and to withdraw with plunger pushed down.
As AmM said could have just gone through a vain so an inflammatory response could be occurring but shouldn't be a biggie, heating the lump may help disipation of oil if it is that.
thanks for all the help guys. what if i did go through the vein and the primo got in the vein...?
YOUR WANG FALLS OFF! Just kidding as long as your not injecting directly into your vein you will probably just get a black and yellow bruise. I had to stop pinning glutes because of this I kept moving the needle because my lats would cramp and id stir the needle.
