Yes -- look at the detection time for EQ to determine the far end of when the sides should disappear.
Typically the sides mostly go away, unless w/ repeated and /or aggressive cycles over time. The dose doesn't really matter so much as just the presence of the compound (il.e. people may think 'small doses' means no sides.. not true).
A caveat w/ the voice change - if you are a singer, you may permanently lose your upper register - anecdotally I've heard both - that after time, singers are able to get back their full range, but also have heard that running anything that causes deepening, will never really recover all the way - i.e. speaking voice would sound normal but singing upper notes may not.
