My Love / Hate Relationship With Bulking

    Really curious....

For those of you who aren't "genetically superior" and can add 15-20 lbs w/ only adding a few lbs of bodyfat, do you ever mentally struggle w/ bulking? Or is is absolute in your mind and you just deal with what you put on to reap the benefits down the line? I'm 5'2 and 160 lbs right now....and I love the getting "big" part. More strength, cloths get tighter, people start turning heads a bit more.....but whatever fat I seem to gain, goes straight to the love handles. Always did, and probably always will My bulks are clean, calories upped, meals tracked, eating every 3 hours starting at 4am, pre/pwo, and I try to take advantage of every time window possible. Luckily my job allows me to eat every few hours on the hour, so I eat at the exact same times everyday. All slow "good" carbs, clean protein, and good fats. But my abs always leave as fast as they came haha. Does anyone else ever get a bit of a mind fuck when bulking? And if so....how do you deal w/ it? I realize most of the people here are the get big and then get bigger types. But not all are only 5'2 My shit compresses down since i'm so short I would really like to hit a solid 180 in the next year and a half - 2 years and then chop down to 165-170.....but the way up is sometimes just as painful as the way down, for different reason Discuss?

Obviously, nobody likes the fat that comes with bulking. I don't really understand why but I put on a lot more fat on the bulk I just finished. Don't know why. All I know is it's a good excuse for a recomp cycle. Lol.

I wouldn't say I've "researched" this, but I've definitely done my fair share of googling. I've come to the conclusion that my body is more prone to aromatization than others. My body tends to store more fat around my 'love handles' and thighs as well, and it's always the last place to leave. /broscience

I am extremely gyno prone as well. Just thinking about PCT makes my nips sore. It's just something you have to figure out for yourself. I always run A-dex on cycle to help mitigate some of the fluff and it seems to work well with me.

I may not be 5'2'' (6'4'') but I hear ya man. I'm in the same boat as you for the most part. I just deal with it because I know later on I'll get rid of the 'fluff'. I love bulking TBH. It actually pains me more to see myself deflate on a cut, than to fluff up on a bulk.

I get it all in the gut. It's just genetics mate. I've found I have to keep some cardio happening to minimizing it.

Mine goes to my chest and waist!

But I find that after 6 weeks of buling my gains stop in weight and mentally i'm exhausted; I eat a large meal every 2 hours for about 9 meals a day. So i take a week or two off of dieting and just eat what i like pretty much still clean just portion and frequency are not controlled. my weight will drop a bit by a couple of pounds but then when i jump back on my diet i get another 6 weeks of quality weight gain.

I don't focus on slow carbs when bulking it can fuck with insulin a bit, but it leaves me too full otherwise for my next meal.

The small amount of weight I gain in the waist doesn't bother me, because my back, chest and shoulders are so inflated that it makes everything seem good

I should have a 31 inch waist, but I'm at 33 right now. With a 50 inch chest, nobody notices any belly fat! I'm only 5' 8", but i don't know how it would look on someone at 5' 2"

Why don't you post some pics?

I'm in nearly the same boat as you - 5'8" 213lbs currently. Plenty of room in my 33" and even 32" summer shorts. Not sure what chest size is but I'm guessing the neighborhood of 48" easily. Back is wide and shoulders are big so these factors certainly help with camouflaging any small to moderate amouints of belly fat. Been cutting for summer so 6 pack is in full effect even when not flexing. Loving it.

The OP only stands 5'2" so it's harder to "spread out" the fat more.

This. Highly androgenic steroids can help keep fat gain at a minimal or fat loss at a maximum. HGH obviously works as well.

We are just about the same weight, give or take a couple pounds. My abs can only be seen on an empty stomach, but if i'm bloated after a meal forget about it. lol.

Its a necessary evil i guess.

Lucky for me, come a few months its back to that brick north eastern weather & i can hide the bearflesh

I appreciate it buddy. I'm not gonna post pics until my cycle starts in the middle of next month, at which point I plan on logging it. I upped my calories already though because I didn't wanna blitz my body when I start the test all at once. So I am getting use to eating 3000 calories a day for the next month, and gonna up it again once my cycle starts. I'll keep you updated I wanna be a hulking 5'2.....even if I gotta go through the fluffy zone first

I was just looking at this on myself last night. I am currently bulking and I am 3 lbs from my goal of 220. I feel like a bloated pig and have definitely accumulated a little extra around the waist. I can still see the abs if I flex hard enough, but there is a little more cushion there. I agree with AnimalHouse though, the gains in other areas make it not so hard to deal with. Oh, and the constant eating sucks too!

I love eating and I love bulking. Much easier than cutting for me. Probably one of the reasons I leaned toward powerlifting. Plus, I just like lifting heavy and for strength only. I am like the Captain in that it all goes to my gut, too. Tends to come right off in the weeks after the bulk is over. Cutting without losing muscle is much trickier, and took me a lot longer to master. I thought I was great at cutting in my 20's, but I was just young and burning calories at a tremendous rate. Didn't see how challenging it can be until I got older. Had to learn how to eat and give up many preconcieved ideas.

Does the HGH have a rebound effect when you get off of it.....in all the research i've done on AAS, i've never really looked into HGH. Maybe I will read up on it. At the very least, new knowledge gained.

Tren keeps me lean while bulking

No other compound does this for me.
