    ANXIETY MEDS HERBAL vs PHARMACEUTICAL

Getting ready to cycle EQ/ANAVAR maybe with some TEST-CYP. I have been reading on the possibility of having anxiety issues while on EQ. I was wondering if any one has any experience using herbal supplements for the anxiety as compared to using the pharmaceutical drugs. Reason why I ask. I might not be able to get a doc to write me a script for anxiety should I encounter it while on EQ

There are plenty of herbal choices for anxiety out there. I've tried many - but honestly, each person responds differently to them, so you will have to experiment. For example, passionflower makes me a bit sleepy, so I can't just take it any old time, valarian has kind of an 'edge' to it. To each their own.

Passionflower, valarian - are a couple. Glycine isn't really an herbal, but it works great for anxiety - I have found that to be the most useful for me. I have a link to a study somewhere where glycine is compared to benzos in terms of eficiacy.

On a related note - my entire family is less edgy when we are all taking plenty of the good fish oils (krill/cod) as well as the injectable b-complex and b12. All of these effect mood/mental health and are great support, as opposed to just taking one thing for a sedative/anxiety relieving effect.

herbal supplements have a great placebo effect if you "believe" they work. Otherwise, it's just a waste of money. There isn't much science to back up herbals.

Not a big fan of herbal stuff, either. R/X anxiety meds can come with a host of sides, and be addictive for some people. If you do have issues, I'd go to your doc for some suggestions. Unless you are prone to anxiety already, I wouldn't think you'll have too much trouble.

Kava has been shown to be effective for anxiety. However use caution as it has also been shown to be VERY hard on the liver. Do not use with oral anabolics or for extended periods or in high dosage. Take care.
