How do you explain away your acne?

So lately being time to goto the beach and pool with friends and family. How do you explain away the acne? I have gotten a couple comments eluding to are you using steroids because of my acne. It starts with I heard steroids causes bad acne is that true. I of course say I don't know never looked into them. But how do you guys handle these questions?

You can't.... Its a dead give-away IMO. Research Accutaine, or generic, at 20 mg/day to eliminate this issue for your next cycle.

i had acne 3 or 4 years ago and used accutane and it cleared it right up, but ever since then my skin is always dry on my face. I never wash my face because it just dries it up more, and ive never had a single pimple since then. Do you guys know if acne will come back on cycle or if my bout with accutane i used years ago stopped it for good?

not to be insensitive but are the gains really worth bad acne if a med won't clear it up? it seems like to women a guy with a killer body that is frosted with acne wouldn't be all that cool. but i think it's like any med you just consider if the benefits are worth the side effects to you. ultimately it's your body and your life.

you should really try to find a med to clear it up that works even if you do steroids or consider not using them IF you care what people think.

if you don't care what people think it's a lot easier. ask them why they can't find a mouthwash that works for them or ask them if they have considered switching to a deodorant body soap.

Its hit and miss. 40% of people have complete or long term remission. 40% have less severe bouts which can be treated with less severe drugs; such as antibiotics or otc options. And 20% need another course of the drug. So its hard to say. But since you have been clear for so long I would say you could probably get away with an otc option to try first. Take care.

for the time being you need to not scrub hard because that will just make it worse and you could try something like Bliss cleansing milk. it dissolves what's clogging any pores and will give your skin a much better surface look while you decide what to do on a deeper level. accutane has some serious side effects like severe depression etc but not everyone experiences side effects. you can just tell people it's stress and them asking about it doesn't help. stress can cause acne in adults.

Some people need a 2nd run at Accutaine to permanately stop acne.

It physically STOPS your body from putting oil onto your skin making it next to impossible to get acne.

So, you should be good next run around. If Acne comes back, run one more 4month 20mg/day accu and you should be good forever.

Thats not a bad idea right there. You're right about the scrubbing, forced exfoliation isn't all too good for your skin. The bad side effects from accutaine are GENERALLY caused because DR's prescribe 80mg/day or such higher dosages. Of course this is for people who are mainly teenagers and LOADED with acne.

I haven't ran gear (yet, at least, lol), but I had pretty bad acne when I was younger. I ran accutane when i was 15 and never saw it again (aside from really minimal stuff like blackheads here and there on my forehead when wearing a hat and sweating, or a little white head on occasion). That stuff is really, really harsh, though, just fyi. I had weekly blood work the first month, bi-weekly the next 2, and then monthly the last 2 or 3 for them to monitor everything. I'd look into acnetame for a pill source; had some very good reviews from users (with before and after pics) and n 2 clear for your topical product. As far as the question about "is it worth it?" -- that's up to you, man. You shouldn't be cycling for girls, anyway. Do it for yourself. Women are all different and some love big guys, but most (younger girls, at least) would prefer a guy who weighs 170 with abs and only 15" arms. You have to do this for yourself, bro.

    - First thing that comes to mind is that you bought a new shirt/t-shirt etc and for some reason you got some allergic reaction to it's fabric.
    - If you got much acne and they still asking tell them you didn't really noticed at first what causes it.
    - If they ask you what did you do with that shirt, tell them that you gave it/throw it away.
    - If you don't wanna go with Accutane, i would suggest you to use some B5 (in powder form preferably) - start with 10-15grams ED for the first 2 weeks (frontloading) and then maintain at 5-6grams ED for the next couple of weeks.

Just say with the hotter temperatures you've been sweating more. I tend to shower and clean my skin alot more in the summer especially after workouts. This helps. A few weeks ago i had some bacne that was raising eyebrows...now its all gone

I'd just explain your under stress at work.or you have been working out extra hard or make up some other believable excuse.the average person isn't going to know the difference.Luckily I found what works for me the walmart brand face cream and N2clear.I'd suggest try difference brands of face creams till you find what works for you and give them enough time to work

I usually go for explaining that it is Stress related acne. It explains why it can come and go, and more importantly, it makes others think twice before they try to stress you out.

Honestly the worst I have had acne was from stress. Was in my final semester at college, 14 credit hours while working full time on a rotating schedule and dealing with issues with a girlfriend.

Was pretty bad, to the point I went to a dermatologist.

On cycle with just using clean and clear with moisturizer every day, I only have a couple pimples in spots where I cannot reach. Works really good for me if I put it once to twice every day.

If someone asks me, I tell them its from stress.
Everything I say is purely for entertainment purposes. I never tell the truth, just ask my ex wife.

hasn't been bad so far for me

I occasionally use dish soap (seriously, alcohol and an antibacterial and everyone has it in their house) it's a bit drying so some moisturizer helps

worst comes to worst just don't take off your shirt on cycle, just reveal the finished product :P

The problem is you go through your whole cycle to show it off. My acne was a dead giveaway, its one reason I dont cycle anymore. I couldnt get accutane like you guys can now.

Jesus I should count my blessings. A few of us are lucky enough to avoid acne when cycling. The gear is certainly real however but never really had acne or at least not significant enough to warrant questioning and interrogation about it. I hope this lucky trend continues.

this weekend was the first time anyone has ever brought up the subject of steroids after I took my shirt off. i don't consider myself "jacked" at all, only been back in the gym 4 weeks, but we went swimming with some friends this weekend and one of them mysteriously brought up the subject. he never asked if i was using, but he made mention that he took them when he was in college. i just changed the subject. i don't have a lot of acne, i think he was noticing that i have become more vascular and bigger overall.

i have to admit though it did make me feel good about all the work i've been putting in... even my wife said how good i looked and she see's me without a shirt on daily. i guess it was just different seeing me out of the house without a shirt.

sex that night was off the hook BTW. lol

If I can get a really good burn/tan outside I can cover all the blemishes. I get acne on my upper back and shoulders and I can;t fucking stand it. My fiancee rubs alcohol pads on my back 3 times a day and it's working pretty well.

If you already have acne on your body prior to cycling, can you just expect that it's going to get way worse once you get on AAS?

Check this thread out man, it may help you find some great products to use. It's helping me, I have had my acne clear up a lot since using a few products in that thread.

What are you taking for BAD acne?
