For me, enough knowledge is when you know what you're putting in your body, you know what could go wrong, and what to do when it goes wrong.
Hey guys just wanted your opinion on a certain subject. I couldn't find any other topics in the search that people had asked so I thought I'd put it forward as I've always wondered.
My question is how much knowledge is enough to be able to use steroids safely. I say this because I have a distant friend who recently started using, and his knowledge from what he tells me is pretty awful. For starters he's 18, the same age as me, which I gather is not a safe age to start, even if he was interested in competitive bodybuilding which he isn't. Secondly his cycle wasn't set out for a set amount of weeks. Thirdly, he doesn't swab the area when he injects to sterilise the area, which I thought would be necessary? And fourthly he has no knowledge of pct which I thought would be a manditory thing for someone to know, unless it always isn't needed?
Anyway maybe I read too much into things but I thought there should be a set guideline of information someone should know before starting as there's obviously a risks involved.
For me, enough knowledge is when you know what you're putting in your body, you know what could go wrong, and what to do when it goes wrong.
Where did you guys turn first when something went wrong? I'm assuming you both use. Do you think theres a degree of personal experience learnt from your friends about things that could go wrong and how to fix them, or could you learn solely from information on the internet?

Read this link brother;
First Cycle and PCT
I probably did about 3 months of hardcore reading before i decided on anything.. you don't need to know all that much though. Learn proper dosages, durations, profiles of each compound, popular cycles and PCT.
know all about pct, AI's, serm's, the compounds you're using, STERILE injection technique/sites, test as a base, don't overuse orals.... that's all I'm coming up with right now lol
I think you can definitely learn just about everything you need to know from the internet, and probably more than you would get from anyone in real life. Your friend sounds like he didn't even think before starting to inject shit. If I were you I would be a good friend and tell him about using an AI (aromatase inhibitor) on cycle, and how very important a good pct is (clomid + aromasin is probably the best, but even nolva would be better than nothing imo)

The way he speaks about what he uses just suggests to me he hasn't got a clue really, then again he could know his stuff .. just having a hard way of expressing it ha. Do you think there is any problem with him starting at this young a age? Paticularily even though he's not involved in any kind of sport/competitive bodybuilding

Yes most all would agree its entirely way to young....perhaps if he was one of those extremely lucky genetic freaks with a good supportive and informed team around like a coleman, cutler AND his goals were to be a pro that would be a different story. Its clear thats not the case here.
Hes gonna do it anyhow though so take the advice digitlash gave and try to inform your friend bud. Good luck and good move learning and informing yourself bro.

First off bro, what is your bb'ing history. How long have you been lifting seriously?
Bro your 18, your hormone levels @ 18 should be very high. You can make some of the best gains of your life right now naturally. A good diet and training will do you wonders. I'd wait a few years and get some natural experience. During this time i would read read read. When the time is right to take it to the next level, you will be ready.
Putting hormones in your body at your age, when you have no idea what they can do is irresponsible bro.
Steroids only compliment a good diet and training bro,get those 2 things in check(not saying there not)and research.

Thats exactly what I am doing friendI was just explaining a friend of mine who decided to start. I was planning maybe around 23 - 24, and only after i'm sure I'd hit my plateau. Im 223lbs at the moment and still growing steadily so I don't feel the need to start thinking about it yet, although it doesn't do any harm learning!
Edit: I've been training since around 14, and seriously since around mid way through being 16
