Its like a virgin asking "how will i know when im inside her?"

You just will. And if you dont....then that bitch got a big ol puss. I digress....

Bury your 1" or 1.5 and you should be good. If not, you might be a walrus or something.

It feels like an electrical shock in my muscle when the pin slides into the fascia. You may even see the pin pulsating and twitching, dancing in anticipaton for you to dispense its oily goodness deep inside.

I can hit the muscle there with a 1/2 inch needle.
Best place is to stand up hands by your side and inject inject that muscle.

As SFW said you will feel it hitting the muscle.

you're still awake cobron?! and you couldn't stay a few more hours? I'm calling you back for a rebuild tomorrow.

However, I love slin pins for delts. Can't beat the ease and painfree of pinning with slin pins. No leftover marks or anything either. If you don't like them, grab the 1inchers and just push. You'll know. Keep the pin in there for 15-30 seconds before you pull it out. If in some rare case you don't get all of it in the muscle, it'll still abosorb just fine. It'll just take a little longer. No worries.

As SFW said, you will know when your pin begins to twitch and feel the bump against the needle as it goes in. Smooth so smooth. If you pin in the thigh, extend you leg out to see where the major muscle runs, after you see it, lower it down and take four fingers, place just above where the knee starts and pin there where you saw the muscle. Should be good.
