A Urologist would be a good start. If prostate enlargens, it causes constant and frequent urge to piss even when bladder is nearly empty. Are you pissing a full stream of urine or just a trickle?

Ahhh yes, thank G_d for tamsulosin!!! That is one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever experienced.... Sitting on the toilet for 30 minutes with a distended bladder and only getting a drip....drip....drip; ultimately left to squeeze back the urge, and resign to go back to bed and try again later.

If it continues, go see a urologist. BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) could be to blame here. Nocturia (peeing at night) is a symptom of it. Honestly, if your not having pain or burning, it's probably the exogenous hormones leading to an enlarged prostate and also the large amounts of water your taking in.

One thing you need to worry about is a UTI....

I piss all day too, not to often do I get up during the night though. I drink well over a gallon of water a day.

I'm not sure what your diet looks like, but like most here I'm sure it's a high protein one. Here's a article I found about high protein diets and frequent urinating.

    Overview

The average adult produces about 1.5 liters of urine per day and eats about 79 grams of protein. Individuals who consume three times as much protein can produce three to four liters of urine daily. I eat over 300grams a day! That number is pretty weak)
    Protein Byproducts

When protein is digested, it breaks down into water, carbon dioxide and nitrates like urea---the stuff secreted in urine. The more protein you eat, the more urea you must secrete.

    Protein Synthesis

To build muscle, your body breaks protein into amino acids ("the building blocks of proteins"), then reassembles them into the proteins it needs. The process of making proteins requires water.
    Lifestyle Factors

Many high-protein foods also contain a lot of sodium, which stimulates thirst and subsequently urine production. People on high-protein diets (usually dieters and bodybuilders) also tend to be active, requiring a higher fluid intake---and output.
    Caffeine

Some protein shakes and supplements contain caffeine, which is a diuretic, meaning it makes you pee more.
    Kidneys

The Brenner Hypothesis suggests that filtering extra urine is hard on the kidneys. Lonnie Lowery, Ph.D., calls this speculation. "Asking a tissue to do extra work does not equal 'damage,'" he told Testosterone Muscle. "Think about your biceps. When you ask them to do extra work... they get better!"

The issue here is that if you wait until you are thirsty before hydrating, then you may already be dehydrated or well on your way to becoming dehydrated. The ARMY pounded this into our heads and it makes sense. Drink small amounts of water frequently throughout the day in order to avoid guzzling to make up for lack of adequate hydration. It's a delicate balance especially when running gear. Dehydration is counterproductive to tissue-building. On the hand, yes, it is possible to overdrink and consume too much water. Too much of anything can be dangerous - except maybe for p*ssy (pardon my language if any females are reading this).

amen, its just finding that delicate balance of complete hydration but not over hydrating and losing the valuable sleep one needs to recover...

Could be Diabetes Mellitus or Diabetes incipidus
prostate thing causes frequesnt urination but with small amounts
consult a doctor, do fasting and postprandial blood sugar, ADH level in blood

I like the idea of possible Diabetes Insipidus. Also could be SIADH or type 1 DM. However if he is having nocturia (urination at night), with a weak stream and dribbling, I wouldn't rule out the prostate idea.

Either way, he should probably go see his doctor.

You have diabetes or your kidneys are shutting down. The pissing all night is your body flushing out toxins. If you get blurt vision about 2 hours after meals its full on diabetes. The lethargy is from the blood thickening and dehydration. Even tho you drink alot of water its not staying in your body.

He needs to have specific test ran to diagnose him with diabetes. All we have is some subjective data, nothing objective. I'm telling you though, the first thing he will do is have you stop and list all medications and supplements. He has to start somewhere so any supplements, vitamins or meds that you DON'T need, he will stop.

    Keep us posted about this...

You don't need a doctor go to rite aid and buy a meter for ten dollars check your blood sugar one to two hours after meals that will tell you right there.

Actually there is 4 tests that he can do - fasting and post-prandial plasma glucose, oral glucose tolerance and random checks throughout the day.

I do not see why you are attempting to argue with me. All I am doing is telling him what he should do, based off of what we have. It sounds to me that the exogenous androgens are causing a prostate flareup.

ok now we are adding renal failure to the diagnosis
renal failure has a polyuric phase ,,, that's true ,,, but there should be some other manifestations of renal failure
Diabetes Mellitus can be caught by a simple check .... random blood sugar above 300
or 2 hours post prandial above 200 .... or fasting above 126 mg/dl
for DI ,,, first you need to have a "water starvation" and see if your frequency of urination decreased .... if it decreased then it's just you drink alot of water if not do a urine analysis ,,, if the specific gravity of urine is low and fixed at 1010 ,,, then it's either DI , or renal failure
now you do blood urea and serum creatinine to exclude renal failure

i'm still a medical student so don't take my advice for granted , but probably this is what you'll do when you consult a Ph.D.

Yea, but he would have to go through the phases of ARF - initial, oliguric and diuretic phases. If that would be the case he wouldn't be here, he would be in the hospital. Lab tests would be drawn and he would have low calcium and elevated phosphorus, but creatinine and BUN would be the most evident. However, he could have had intra-renal problems because of the nephrotoxicity caused by the juice.

SIADH sounds a little far off because it is normally caused by a tumor, head trauma, encephalitis and meningitis. Main manifestation would be diluted urine and we would be seeing the changes of LOC and also nausea, vomiting and headache.

Diabetes Insipidus would lead him to have major loss of urine, anywhere from 2-15 liters per day and still experiencing extreme thirst.

Now, I am not a resident or med-student, but I manage whatever the problem is

Djlance I wasn't talking to you I didn't quote you or bash you was offering my 2 cents to the op. Im diabetic and know alot about it. You can find out in a few minutes for 10 dollars and rule that out with a generic blood meter.
