2 and 1/2 years on TRT and my natural test bounced back

I've had been off TRT for 11 weeks and got blood work. everything was good, lipids, liver and kidney markers, hematology etc. The thing that really shocked me as my test came back in the mid 500s (range 250-1100) and free test in the mid 50s (range 30-120). I have a long history of use. Using from 27-37 and then after I hit 45 I felt like I hit a wall so started up again. After about 1.5 years of cycling again I thought for sure I was hypo so went to a clinic and added some insurance that I would test low by adding 10 mg of var for 2 weeks followed by 4 days to clear it before testing. I tested at 260 then. Since then I would take short breaks and test levels after like 4 weeks off. They were always around 100 ng/dL but LH was always on the rise. This is the first time I tested after being off for more than 5 weeks and boom LH is cranking and test is normal. So don't automatically assume that if you cycle for a few years you will be relegated to TRT for life. That may not happen. In fact, from the literature it actually rarely happens. Look at me. I have an AAS history going back 22 years.

Thanks for posting that Glyco. It's good for people to see that "Doomsday" is not automatic just b/c somebody gears for an extended period of time.

All you guys know me. You know I sort of preach moderation but I didn't always cycle like that.. but mostly I did. I always took breaks. I'm sure that makes a difference.

Sounds legit. For LH to rise you are obviously recovering. Good news man!

Are you now planning on staying off for awhile? It would be cool to see if your levels stayed that high, for say a year?

Thanks for the post man, I gotta question for ya,

I'm going on my 2nd cycle and will be running aromasin as my AI, along with Caber for my prolactin gyno. (because of the Deca) I will also be running HCG 250iu's 2x week. So as you can see Im covering all my basis being as careful as possible.

When you cycled all those years ago, we're you as careful? did you run AI's and HCG to keep things well regulated while you juiced? because if you didn't, and you still recovered after years of use, then maybe I shouldn't subject myself to multiple orals and HCG while I cycle?

We didn't have AIs back then. The closest thing we had was Teslac and it was prohibitively expensive and rare to find. We did use Nolvadex on occasion. PCT might have included hCG and that was it until the early 90s. So no I did not PCT. hCG used during cycle as you outlined will help for a faster recovery. Back in the 80s and 90s we just cycled and went off and stuck it out for a few months before getting back on. For the most part I was pretty responsible but there were periods when I got out of control and did high dose long cycles. For the most part I cycled responsibly. This last stint I was on one thing or another for about 8 months before any break. Then I took 3 weeks off and did another 8 week cycle. 11 weeks later I went to a doc expecting to get referred to an endo and everything came back normal.

Great post Glycoman thanks for sharing! How aggresive was the cycle you ran prior to your test?

I am going back on in October. Why change a system that works especially since I seem to be healthier than a horse.

not very aggressive at all. 600 to 800 mg of total AAS a week. Also was using Letro at 1 mg every three days, hCG at 250 iu EOD, and GHRP-2 at 200 ug 3-5 days a week.

Not really much risk. I'll be 50 next month, done probably 40 cycles and my test seems to bounce back still so I do plan to cycle again. Probably in October. By then I'll have been off 5 months. Maybe that's a big part of the reason I still bounce back. I take breaks. Long breaks sometimes to get every system back and running well on its own. Then let it run on it's own for a good while afterward.

When I cycle I cycle responsibly. I never go overboard in total gear. I use hCG during cycle and a mild dose of SERM when coming off. I cycle for 8 weeks and then off for a month before another 8 weeks. After 2-3 cycle like that I go off for 3-6 months.

I always get more athletic when off and I think that helps. Right ow I'm lifting 4 days a week, running 3 days a week, and doing some boxing and grappling once a week. I'm telling my body that it has to get its shit together or perish. It seems to still respond. This is the pattern that has evolved over time. I wasn't always this responsible but I did always have this voice in the back of my head that told me when it was time to get off for a while or when to take an extended break. I don't know wht I would be like now if I made a habit of staying on blast and cruise at high dose for years. Probably not that good an outcome.

I think you need to take a step back and look at the big picture. My success may or may not be related to my fairly conservative approach but I strongly suspect that it is what has held my bits and pieces together. It's not a single PCT that I did over the last 23 years of cycling that made a difference. If I told you how conservative my PCT was you would not be impressed. End result of all this experimentation is that I am intact and healthy as a horse.

Nice post glycomann, very interesting. I myself was thinking about going on to extend my current cycle of tren/test but taper off the last month. As of right now im at 300mg of test and 500mg of tren a week and 250iu every 4 days. Quick question, 250iu of hcg eod wont desensitize you? If not what kind of dose will, just good to know.

Im glad you recovered and are in good health. This may sound stupid but is infertility an issue? Ive wanted to blast and cruise for awhile now on just test, i went to an HRT clinic and i got turned away saying i didnt qualify. My only worry is the infertility thing which i cant find a solid answer on. Branch Warren just knocked up his wife and god knows when was the last time he went off...
