    Red circle on injection site

So, I've got a red circle on my tricep 2 days after injecting 1cc there. Pain has been subsiding since injection though. Should I be concerned bout access? Or does this happen w/o developing an abbess sometimes? I don't have any fever symptoms.

    Thanks for any help

I've just never had this happen on any other spot. I'm wondering if maybe I missed the muscle or if this is the first sign of infection. It's a lemon sized red patch.

Pics help, but based on your descript, youre fine. Abscess would be heat and pain, swelling, possible fever etc. Sterile abscess wouldnt have heat or any pain, just a lump/ bump. Local reaction to solvents most likely is what youre describing.

Thank you sfw. I think you are correct, the pain is barely noticeable and going away, and there are no lumps or bumps.

Sometimes when you inject into a new muscle you can have a reaction similar to what you are describing due to the muscle not being used to it and in return causing a reaction. I would start with a 1/2 cc into a small muscle then work up to 1cc. I don't go more than 1cc into small muscles like that. I use bigger muscles when I inject larger quanities.
