    Liver risk WARNING

    I guys,

I was planning all the support I'll take with my cycle and got some information who worries me.

One very well known OTC product tu Support your Cycle has a large Red Yeast Rice content.

Red Yeast Rice is an old herb who can improve cholesterol values (a lot). So, What's bad with it?

The bad news are that Red Yeast Rice lowers cholesterol because the big statin-like drugs in it.

Statins are the selection drug for MD to lower cholesterol, but ARE VERY HARD to the liver, raising most of times the liver values. It's unadvised drinking alcohol or ANY hepatotoxic drug with statins.

So if you're ON and you're taking 17-aa steroids, be very carefull of those OTC supports and check what are they made of.

Now I understand all those guys, posting bloodwork after a pro-hormone cycle with high liver values saying: I don't understand. It was a mild prohormone and I was taking an OTC support.

    Peace.

Red yeast rice does contain a chemical that works just like a statin. But guess what? The pharm companies decided that it was too effective and the side effects were just like that of a prescription drug, so they've had that particular chemical removed. So now pretty much every red yeast supplement does jack shit. And I agree I don't think liver support does much of anything, never seen any proof that milk thistle helps the liver at least.
