I don't believe there is a cutoff really, I've heard that's all broscience

as long as you don't eat too far over maintenance you won't gain much fat

I usually eat my last meal pretty late and I even drink a protein shake in the middle of the night. And I stay pretty lean, I think it depends on what you eat and how you train.

I think you would get more answers about this in the diet/training sections.

this would probably be a question for a different section.... but i dont think that you should be getting half your calories from supps and also that is going to depend on your own body. personally i try and eat right before i go to bed and sometimes(rarely) Ill get up in the middle of the night a have a protien shake but im not real worried about getting fat.

unless you are looking to use intermittent fasting.. there is no cut off.. that's an old wives tale..IF has variations to it as well.. most I've seen is a fast from 10 at night until like noon or 1pm.. but I'm not an expert on IF.. it's interesting to say the least

contrary to what a lot of people think, eating food before bed is not going to be fully processed and turned into fat by the time you wake up. Plus if you work out and have a healthy lifestyle your metabolism is going to stay fired up all night long burning fat so eat up and just keep it clean.

Try telling that to someone on gear. I keep eating until around 10pm, but I intake no more than 15g carbs with that meal because I will sweat like a pig when my body has to break them down in the middle of the night.

12 ounces of non fat milk with a scoop of casein before bed is ideal.

Completely agree with this post, but instead a casein, I like cottage cheese because the consistency of casein is terrible to me.

I have the same problem but mostly only when Im taking tren. basicly what Im trying to say is that if your meals fall closer to bed time than the average person your not going to get fat. When you workout consistantly and eat right your metabolism gets so high you can wake up three times a night and eat and your not going to get fat. I know a lot of people under 10% bf that eat before bed and wake up in the middle of the night and chug a shake.

I used to set the alarm for 3am, wake up and have 75g of protein in a shake, piss and go back to bed. Didn't want to go catabolic in my sleep.

No way you will grow eating only 4-5000 cals a day, up it to 6-7000 cals a day.
