I'm from Jersey as well and it's sad people don't know how beautiful the state is (excluding some areas heading east on 78). As for some of the people there, well that is not the land's fault!

LOL! Funny you guys mention Jersey....I was born and raised there (Bergan County). I hate it. Nobody can drive for shit and the property taxes there are the highest in the country. I like the new governor though!
I believe Jersey has a bad rep because most folks who pass through only get to see Newark/airport. It is a beautiful state once you go further inland. The shore sucks....not my cup of tea.
At least Jrsy beats Afghanistan, this place sucks!! Can't wait to bounce, not coming back again. This is the armpit of the world (India not far behind) and Jrsy is the armpit in the US! lol

Damn yes I'd imagine Afghanistan is far worse than Jersey. I've lived here my whole life and honestly it does get a bad rap from the guido crowd that comes down from NY, and all the pollution in certain parts. Camden NJ truly is a cesspool though, stay away from it if you know what's good for you :P

Other than Camden, Newark, Elizabeth, Patterson, Trenton and Jersey City, the state is not half bad. Wildwood is a fun time. Northwestern NJ near Sussex, etc. is real nice as is some of the southern and central parts i.e Pine Barrens, etc. The country's most densely-populated state, however. Not a good thing. Armpit in particular refers to the northeast quadrant of the state. All those shithole cities and polluted cesspools around I-95 are what many passersby have to judge NJ on.

lol I used to live right on the edge of Camden, great place if you wanna find drugs, disgusting hookers, or you wanna experience being stabbed. They're surprisingly nice to white boys if you're bringing them cash, but you'll get stopped pretty often just for walking the streets and not being the right color.
I also used to live like 10-15 miles away in a town called Wenonah, which is the exact opposite. One square mile of ancient beautiful houses, surrounded by woods, everyone's friendly etc. You can find just about anything in jersey within a short car ride which is nice. Shore on one side, mountains on the other, but you'll run into some shit in the middle on your way there :P
