Taking a week off from gym bad on PCT?

Curious to know if its ok. I will be eating maintenance the whole week so I won't lose any weight. Just want to give my muscles a break to fully heal them. Also it will be week 4/last week for PCT wed.

You must continue training if you plan to keep your gains.

Well my heaviest on cycle was 215. About to be in week 4 of PCT and im at 208. Only way to really lose gains is if you stop eating at maintenance right? One reason I want a week off is my right side back muscle is inflamed. Been putting icy hot on it every night. Also lower back is hurting a bit as well. I do sit basically all day at my job which could also be a cause. Would just like a full heal/recovery.

Well if your injured you might as well take the time off to recoup, dont want the issue to get worse. I just thought you meant take a week off for the hell of it lol.

You can seriously lose your gains from a week off even eating at maintenance? I don't see how.

Noo def not. Its been giving me problems at work. Sometimes I'll take my ibuprofen bottle and stick it behind my back in my chair and sway side to side to massage my hurt muscle lol.

You tried seeing an osteopath or similar ? Ive been going to one since July for a back and neck injury Ive had for 4 years. They really do help, I was a sceptic at first but I'm making good progress. Just a thought.

I took a week off during week 3 of pct and lost more strength than I wanted to. I wouldn't recommend taking time off

If you haven't already, cut your training down to 3x/wk. That is ideal for PCT anyway, as it allows your muscles to fully recover in between workouts. Also, you should be doing lower volume than you were on cycle.

    I go to gym 4x a week.

Monday and Tuesday, Wed off, Thursday and Friday. I'm lifting in the 8 rep range till failure. I have lost strength which happens. Doesn't worry me. I just adjust.
