u seeing a doctor?

What gear can somebody take that will help with crohns
u seeing a doctor?

I was but lost insurance. I'm 40 had crohns since I'm 25 had 2 surgeries ,removed about 5 ft of intestine.
Nj has free medical and it's pretty damn good. Go to the welfare office

Gear should be the last thing on your mind my friend. I would seek help, from a gastroenterologist, about ways to manage any flare-ups you might have. Diet and pain control are two of the top things that I could think of, that would need to be assessed.

Gear is not the answer.

I wish you the best my friend that is a tough thing to deal with, I would not worry about the gear brother in my opinion. If you do decide to do it read up on the pros and the cons just like anything.I am not sure where you are from partner, but there are a lot of free clinics out there especially with this new health care plan going into effect, just google your county for the clinics, Best of luck to you my friend!!!![]()

Cure Crohn's Colitis - Bowel Disease Charity
All good advice from the others - you're always best to get guidance from a qualified doctor and there are many new and highly effective treatments out there (and government funding intitiatives to pay for it).
However, in the meantime, there are a few nutritional supplements that can be helpful that you may be more familiar with for bodybuilding - one is L.Glutamine - an amino acid used in muscle recovery which also happens to slow down bowel movements, reduce gut inflammation and speed up intestinal healing. This has a history in being used for Crohn's disease with good effect.
The other is a DHA - a fatty acid present in fish oil which reduces the inflammatory response in the gut.
Your doctor may prescribe you Prednisone which is an anti inflammatory cortico-steroid - it is not an anabolic and won't aid body building other than significantly reducing your Crohn's symptoms, but be aware that it will show up if you are being tested for competitions.
As I say, there are many incredible new treatments out there now including Humira and Remacide - have a look at our Twitter Feed where we regulalrly post up medical progress on Crohn's treatment.
Hope this is of help
I have colitis which is almost identical to crohns. Steroids are used in the treatment but they aren't anabolic. They are designed to suppress the immune system to get a flare up under control. Once your disease is under control you can then think the anabolic rout. The good news is that HGH has been linked to being a "last resort" treatment in UC and crohns due to the fact that it helps the regrowth of internal organs. But only low doses are used. HGH is considered a last resort treatment due to the fact that it is so expensive and still in the research phase for these diseases. Good luck.

Yes DexamethaSONE and prednisolone are steroids that you would use to treat inflammation or inhibit the inflammatory process.
Maybe the OP was confused on which ones to take. Either way, research your stuff. Administration of steroids (NOT SAUCE) can have a butt load of side effects.
