    Finistride on cycle ?

I'm running a simple test cycle and don't want to loose any hair permanently. I do not know of any family history of mpb, but I don't want to be the first either. It's been brought to my attention that you wouldn't want to suppress both estrogen and DHT, but seeing as finistride in a low dose wouldn't completly suppress it, what would be the problem? What are your thoughts? Dosage suggestions if any?

1mg per day is standard. Personally, I can't because I need the DHT and am willing to give up some hair for the CNS benefit it gives me. However, if you don't have an issue where you need a little extra DHT...it shouldn't hurt.

MBP and androgen alopecia aren't exactly the same thing though. Similar, but not the same. Lucky me, I'm dealing with both.

The finasteride will protect you from MBP but not AA. If you don't have a family history on either side of of MBP then you probably aren't prone to get it and should be ok anyway. But if it worries you, a little finasteride shouldn't hurt.

Is the reason you need extra DHT the androgen alopecia? If so what other conditions would require one to need the extra DHT? What is the downside, other than a slight chance of slightly decreased libido?

No my reason is different and quite a bit off label. Read about the CNS protection and recovery attributes of DHT... I have MS and it helps my CNS be healthier than without it.

I'm willing to give up the hair for that.
