How long to reach "steady state"?

I read in another thread that the length of time it takes for a drug to reach a "steady state" in ones system and basically have the most effect is 5 times it's half-life. So if test-cyp has a half-life of say 12 days than it doesn't actually reach a "steady state" in ones body untill 60 days of injections at regular intervals. If this is correct than it would make sense to run a cyp only cycle atleast longer than 60 days to be able to see optimal gains.
Is my reasoning correct on this?
Thanks for any info and insight you guys can share !!
