    why only glutes??

I just read you should only inject primo into the glute. Why is this? Going to get my first shot tonight and like most every first timer .....im scared. Lol. I have given my husband his injections ( and his friends) for the past four years and we have horses and livestock so I have given hundreds and hundreds of shots. Im a bit of a farm girl. This really shouldn't bother me. Any last minute tips?

I was actually using Google search to see if primo may cause nausea since I am prone to nausea anyway. Of the 7 sites I visited, 5 said glutes only and the other 2 didn't mention sight injection. I had assumed it was ok to inject in glutes, delt or quads until I read that. Not saying I believe everything I read but I would he an idiot if I didn't do all my homework before starting this.

hmmm... My wife uses primo and I ALWAYS pin her in the side delts. Works PERFECT!!!! for her anyway. I dont understand the reasoning of a glute only inj for primo and I have never heard that before.

The only thing I can think of is maybe some type of rumor or myth that Primo helps with seperation of muscle bellies but being an oil based , I dont think the so-called localized injections verses other inj sites would matter. I have noticed with Jen is that if her diet is off, the primo dont really do that much... and she is a small girl, lol. 135 lbs at her best.

Don't stress what you've read, because it's false! Go pin those delts, quads, and any other muscle you feel comfortable with. You will be fine

I recommend the Glute's for first cycle shots...

If you divide the "cheek" into 4 quaters, you inject in the upper outer quarter...It is a pretty easy shot, and the hardest part is getting turned around to where you have good sight of the injection spot...Put your weight on the leg you are NOT injecting into so that the glute is not flexed during the injection, which could make the pain worse...And don't forget to aspirate too...

But, as the others have said...Delts, Quads (Best spot if you have to pin yourself)...ALL GOOD...

Primo can be injected into any muscle as long as it is deep enough into the tissue. It will enter your blood stream no matter which muscle is pinned.

I find quads to be the easiest for self-injections...

All of you guys are great. A wealth of knowledge and I feel fortunate to have found a site I can believe what is said, is actually the truth and not some line of bullshit from a hazardous wannabe that only goes half ass. Thanks again

I would do quads first, especially if you are fairly vascular right now. Easy to see where to inject and though you might take FOREVER to take your first few shots, you will get used to it, and it beats forgetting to breathe and sweating while you try to pin your rear. Primo is fine wherever. I have a weird situation where one of my quads is a bit "numb" due to a very major total knee/tendon reconstruction (At the whopping old age of 35-go figure), and I slam that puppie without a feeling in the World. Haha. Who would have thought I could find a blessing from something as bad as a knee exploding..

Just relax, get some music on, load her up, sit down, and pin in the quad. You will find it to not be that bad....

I've been pinning Primo into my glutes for the past 10 weeks and the glutes provide for the deepest possible deposit of the compound seeing that the glute offers the largest area of muscle tissue to pin; that is, as long as you pin in the upper oute rquadrant as someone else pointed out. My wife will start her Primo in March, 50mg EW, and I will be administering her glute shots. She is rather lean and petite to begin with so we can probably even use a 1/2" or 5/8" inch pin the Delt but we're going to stick to the glutes. I think glutes has always been the traditional starting point for injecting gear so this is why some literature automatically defaults to the glute as the focal point of injection. However, there is nothing wrong with pinning delts (I do) and quads (I've never done). Good luck.

Pinned my glute on Monday. No problems. Stayed relaxed and no pain what so ever. I was more nervous 5 minutes before. Scared shittless is more like it. Lol. Once it was drawn up it all seemed so natural. I've given many shots, just not to myself but im not at all jittery about needles (I have had many surgeries and bloodwork and hospitalizations) I definitely feel more comfortable with glutes or delts. Probably where ill keep it. The thought off all the nerves and edges of muscles in the quads kind of creeps me out.

Yes, quads creep me out for the same reasons although I know many people swear it's the best place to self pin HOWEVER, I've read horror stories on quad shots gone bad despite the individual having been successful with quad many times previously. Since delts and glutes work, and have always worked for me, these are the spots I'm staying.

You're probably not pinning very frequently, but generally the more sites you have to rotate to, over time the less accumulation of pinning scar tissue. Typical rotation is glutes, quads, delts. I know some people who also do lat but you either have to have big lats, good reach or someone else to do it.

The one place DON'T do it is calves. I have yet to hear of someone shooting there and not regretting it w/ a vengeance.

Only once a week. I can't even feel where the last one was. No lump or anything. Im really hoping to stay in the glutes or delts. I guess only time will tell. My calves are small and I can't ever imagine even thinking of that area to hit. I do know a few who pin biceps and have even hit my husband there. I will say he hated it though. He said they were nuts and never again would he do it.
