    dangers of ordering online

What are the dangers of ordering online. So as far as possibly getting something fake, but how likely is it that I'm getting a "controlled delivery" or it's being tracked?

Your buying illegal substances, there is always a chance. I would recommend you setup a PO Box and maybe not have it delivered to your house. The sponsors on this board are G2G. I have heard good things about UncleZ, but have not used personally.

Everything poses a risk, do your homework, and feel confident in your purchase no matter who you choose.

As for the controlled delivery, its a rare occurrence, many flags have to be up for that to happen, and if your pack gets seized most of the time you just get a letter than you can trash.

Leave no link between your payment and your delivery. Use a roaming laptop to order and your personal laptop for everything else. if you use your home computer doesnt matter what name you use if they bust your supplier and track the IP address on your order ..leads them right to you.

they are not going to chase you for a couple boxes they would rather shut down the lab.

Are we not even allowed to ask for a reliable source via a PM? That would make things so much easier.

Use the roaming feature (like your cell when you are out of range) it picks up the nearest tower and switches you from tower to tower. in other words don't log on using your home wifi service provider, drive around the hood and pick up on someone else's open IP line to send your order. Best place..your local library..log on under their IP address..

    you fuckin with me right?

If you know how to really use a computer, you can set up NAT (network address translation), and this is done using an up to date and strong firewall program. But, if you don't know how to set this all up...you can use your smart phone, drive around and pick up another signal/IP address and place your order through your phone. You can use your laptop, but you could leave footprints on the HD.

A floating IP address is typically used to provide redundancy in a hot standby configuration. One machine is able to take over the ip address (hence floating IP) of the other and respond to ARP requests.

Believe it or not, but it's actually safer to order using a dial-up connection. With a static IP, as in DSL or cable internet connections, a person has the same IP number ALL the time. With regular dial-up internet access, the IP numbers are dynamic - that is, a different number is assigned (within a range) each time a person connects to the internet. But who uses dial up anymore anyway....

Would using your smartphone using 3G work, or does it need to be a wifi?

When you get an IP address from a 3G network, you are authenticated before an IP address is allocated. So the network knows exactly who you are while getting an IP address. So even if your IP address is different, networks can easily track you down. But...there are still ways around that as well.

Do you use a fake name to pay and also fake name for the shipping address? I would think yes. I don't even think western union asks for id.

What about when you have to sign for the package? signing for the package would be the worst part.

There are a few threads on this.

    Using proxy servers, and such.

Drive into the ghetto, use a cyber cafe that has stains on the walls, and no cameras. You'll be good to go. haha

Is it paranoia or just preparedness?

People on here don't understand the risks. How hard it is to sit there and research? If they can spend time at the gym, then they can spend time reading how to get jacked, swole, and stay safe...

IMO even this thread runs the line.

I would feel more confident wiping my laptop than wiping my phone. Even if it's prepaid it's still in your posesion with the history and cache. After you clear your phones browsing info it's still there to be seen with the right tools.

Bro, wiping you laptop is no safer than wiping your phone unless you run a DoD level encrypted overwrite. EAS code would take a super computer months to crack, yet I highly doubt most people can do this, let alone the seven Passes it takes, (that's near 49 layers of encryption to be safe).
There is software available to enable "wiping" phones as well.

Just because something is in your possession doesn't mean it it yours, or you have knowledge about it.

Hypothetically speaking, you "should" have an encrypted phone, and a laptop that has all contents encrypted, including your OS. To be safe you could do a special altered encrypt on your start-up files. That way you would need three passwords before getting into your OS. These aren't normal passwords either... You can damn near use an essay as a password sometimes.

Bro in your first post you violate all of our safety...

NEVER ask if someone uses a fake name out in the open.
Don't EVER mention a potentially hypothetical payment form.

You obviously haven't been in trouble with the law...
Just because you sign for a package doesn't mean you know what the contents are. It doesn't even mean you ordered anything... It just means you were suddenly surprised by the fact you had a package and your curiosity got the best of you so you signed....

I agree. But since we were on the topic of over paranoia, thought I would mention it. And yes I wasn't talking a regular wipe. I use DBAN for secure wipes. Still not a garauntee either hahaha.

Most of the places that have Wifi you can sit in the parking lot or you can get service within a block or two and IMO don't get a PO box find a mom and pop shop that has personal mailboxes usually with those you can get one with a fake name if you can get a fake ID...you still have a risk when you go to pick up but there are ways around that as well....
