    PC Acne

Does anybody know of any good products to treat post cycle acne? Did anyone ever try Proactive?

I usually just wash the area well a few times per day and wait it out. As soon as your hormones come back into balance it will go away.

I have read different opinions and it really depends on the person. Some just get rid of it with 2 showers a day. Other wont get rid of it not even with antibiotics...

I break out bad during PCT, and it sucks... I dont want to go on Accutanne because the acne is not really that bad itself. What bothers me and looks bad are just the dark spots the pimples leave when they are gone... they stay somehow printed on my skin forever

i have been fighting acne since a teen , i dont get in on cycle to much , its more when im coming off , and i personally have had good experience with proactive as long as you use it the right way , but it is expensive and if u have insurance , what i do is just go to my dr. tell he/she that i am breaking out and get a script for a cream and or pills to take to help it go away , theres a cream called evoclin that really has helped me with acne from gear bc it seems to be more oily and soar than acne from my teen years , hope this helps if u have any more questions feel free to ask , i battled severe acne for a long time

i would wash the effected area with benzoyl peroxide 10% in the shower and leave it on and really let it absorb and then before bed i would use a cream and let it dry and then sleep, juss keep in mind not to wear any shirts that you like b4 bed becuz benzoyl peroxide will bleach/discolor them.

this really helped me recover from the acne that i had on tren, however the scars remain but they are fading.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm 32 now, and haven't had to deal with acne for a long time. I came off my cycle, and broke out like crazy! I've been using Clearasil washes, and it hasn't been helping too much. Thanks again!

i am trying nizoral, it is a dandruff shampoo,, i think i read about it on here somewhere.. I am at day 2 with it so I cant say if it is doing anything yet.... I am also taking tetracycline,, it really sucks I feel ur pain..

I have read a lot about accutane & i actually picked up a 3 month supply of 10mgs tabs.. I have read on a few different boards that 10mgs a day cleared guys oily skin & acne up with no adverse side's.. It seems the higher doses & long time on cause the most problems..
I am just waiting until i can't take it anymore before i resort to stopping the tyetra & switching to accutane.. I have all liver protection supps on hand

With a little bit of research you can find out how to get really clear skin. Run it 4-5 month cycle of it and you should be extremely clear.

Its the zinc. Original Head & Shoulders works great but does not make it go completely away for me.

10g of vitamin b5 spread it like this: 7 caps of 500mg with morning meal 5 caps of 500mg with lunch 4 caps with mid afternoon and 4 with diner a total of 20 caps I know its alot but thats the price for clear skin, I buy the big bottle at vitamin shoppe it last 15 days You will start to see really good improvements at day 10 of taking vitb5 also dont stop taking it just because you have finished ur pct or it will come back just keep taking a mainteinance of 5g after 1 month on vitb5

go to a dermatologist, tell them your friend's doctor put them on Bactrim DS and it worked wonders. Most of the time response from the doctor is along the lines of 'oh yea! good idea!' It's a fantasic acne treatment and has worked really well on myself and a few people I know.

I have pretty good success using neutrogena acne bodywash, both morning and post workout showers. Smells kind of like dirt though so you may wanna use bodywash or somthing after....................

See if you can get your Doc to give you an antibiotic such as Doxycycline or Tetracycline. Ive used them and it works. just dont drink or eat dairy and stay outta the sun. Itll clear up in 3 to 4weeks
It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, so long as you beat the leprechauns.

I didnt have acne at all on my back or chest area (expect some ingrown hairs from shaving chest) and since I have finished my PCT it has broken out bad. Been about 5-6 weeks since I finished my pct and still not clearing up. I scrub it 2x daily. My face is ok. Its my chest and back/shoulders that are really bad and hurt too. Any chance of it clearing up after a while? Should I take something to prevent it happening on my next cycle which will be in January? Any ideas would be great.

All great advice for acne here. I usually break out after cycle also. I shower often, use acne soap in the shower and Oxy pads after I dry off. I take Pantothetic Acid (Vitamin B5) and tan also. But it really didn't STOP until I started taking Doxycycline I got from my doc. It all depends on the individual. Keep adding more and more different things to fight the acne, starting small with acne creams and stuff while taking B5 and move up to antibiotics or even low dose accutane if necessary (last resort). Eventually you'll find what works for you. It's also very important to be consistent with your acne treatments.

As far as Proactiv goes, save your money. It's all stuff you can get for much cheaper separately at Wal-Mart or pharmacy. Benzoyl Peroxide wash, a toner and a lotion with more benzoyl peroxide. They do have a good knock off of Proactiv called AcneFree. You can get it at Wal-Mart and pharmacies. Same exact stuff without the ridiculous price tag (Proactiv=paying for marketing).

I'm in the same boat. I'm just waiting it out. This time it's on my back for some reason. Last time it was on my chest. I shower 2x per day and even have a back scrubber.

Isotretinoin. 20mg-40mg for 4-6 months and you most likely wont have to worry about acne anymore. I just started a week ago and its already clearing me up. Good luck

God damn. All of these awesome stories about accutane but I'll say it again. I've talked to over a handful of people that say accutane fucked them up. They were under doctor supervision. Cracked lips, Bloody Nose, Light Sensitive...and a few still claim to have been fucked up forever. It would make sense since it changes you for life.

But then again I read all of these dudes on here who love it. Either way, if you take it. Do it OFF CYCLE. That shit is hard on your liver.
