    Tren and endurance

It has been said that tren messes with your endurance. True or not I'm OK with that since I will finish the cycle before the climbing season starts (mountainering over 18,000'). My question is this - how long after finishing a cycle with tren does it take for your normal level of endurance to return?

I'm also a mountaineer, it takes me a few weeks for my endurance to come back, and the pumps in calves to subside.
I had the least amount of altitude sickness because of aas too, my high rbc really paid off.
    What are you climbing?

I hope to climb Chimborazo/Cotopaxi and maybe a few of the lower peaks next June, Quito is only a day and a half bus ride from here. There is a peak about 12 hours north of Bogota I will do this December called Ritak'Uwa blanco, it's about 5300 mts.

I wanted to start a long (16 week) test e, tren e, eq cycle in Feb but will probably shorten it to 12 weeks because of the tren/cardio effect (thanks for your help btw), that way I can get a little cardio training in before June.

I think living in Bogota has helped my RBC as well, we are at 8600ft down here.... :-)

Damn, you have big mountains compared to us. I've summitted a few 14,000 ft peaks and lots of winter ascents of 10-12000 ft mts.
14500 is the tallest mountain in the continental us. I do have plans to do Denali though, which is 20000 ft.
I think it's a good idea to give yourself room in between your cycle and climb. Even 2-3 wks after my cycle, I had pretty good calf pumps which made crampon work a whole lot harder. That was a test only cycle too.
It's good to see another climber on here, I think we're the only ones.
