Did it start to help after you switched from regular soap?

I've used accutane when i was younger and its not worth getting rid of bacne, if i had bad face acne id consider it. But its been banned in quite a few states now due to it pretty bad side effects.

Please read up on the side effects of accutane before considering using it. There is a reason doctors hardly ever prescribe it. The side effects are potentially horrific, especially if taken in heavy doses.

I got quite a bit on my shoulders last cycle. Went to doc and she put me on Solodyn antibiotic and another topical antibiotic lotion. It was gone in 2 weeks. Also used Panoxyl 10% benz pero soap. They sell it in a bar form now and got it at Walgreens. Hope you have insurance though because the Solodyn is like $800 without it.

I tried accutane back in the 90's and it works but it made me feel like shit and had nose bleeds everyday so I got off it. I asked the doc about it this time and she said if I were to take it I would have blood test every month because it is a serious drug that they know a lot more about nowadays.

I agree, try everything else you possibly can before using accutane. The last thing you want is to get crohn's or something and have part of your intestine removed... There are other side effects but that's the one that really scares me. Anyway if you decide you absolutely must use it then only use 20mg a day IMO. This seems to be effective for most and greatly reduces the risk of side effects.

ya its way better then regular soap like dial or dove.

be sure you get the right kind of cetaphil. there is two kinds a regular face was and a moisturizing one. the moisturizing one was the best for me. i found my skin was so sensitive the the reg. kind was drying it out,,, which makes it worse.

ive always had a little on my face and it cleared it up pretty quick at just twice a day for like a week. my pores are smaller too. did pretty well on my shoulders too, more than anything else did.

I would give it a try, helped some of my friends too.

Accutane wont cause crohns. Its very toxic at higher doses. It works very well for cystic acne at a low dose. Try 20mg a day. I did that for two weeks now ill be doing 20mg twice a werk.

PLEASE Do not use Accutane unless it's your LAST RESORT!!! Trust me you won't like the way you feel on it and the sides are ridiculous. Try an Anti Biotic before you go that route such as Tetracycline or Clindamyacin etc. Shower twice a day and after your workout, also try tanning as much as possible. If all that doesn't work then go the Accutane route. I get acne really bad even off the juice so I have had to battle it most of my life and only once have I used Accutane and let me tell you NEVER AGIN will I!!!!

I would never use accutane there are others ways or I would just live with it. Anything you have to sign a health waiver for stating it can cause birth defects and so on, I don't want no parts of it. I heard about a lawsuit on a law commercial stating there is a case being made against accutane for causing Crohn's too. Not sure if it is true or not but did hear it. There is a product coming out soon that will help many of you with this problem with no sides and it is legal. It has helped me with about 95% of my acne and I am on cycle now. I am using it now and it is working wonders. Best part no sides that I have read of on the active ingredient or experienced myself.

Doxycycline and Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit got rid of most of my acne. The rest seemed to clear up when I started taking an AI.

You have not done enough homework in regards to the medication. Of all people, I can't believe you're posting this. Totally disappointed.

What is B.S. About Accutane? I am not saying it doesn't work. I know it works but I will never ever use it ( just my opinion on it) Please tell me what was B.S. so if there is something I am missing I will not miss it again. I trust your knowledge XYZ you have helped inform me on things I did not know in the past. I am thinking you may be refering to the crohn's issue. I was just saying I saw the lawsuit commercial on TV so I am assuming they must have a legitamite case building against it.

Accutane is harsh, no doubt about it. If you ever look at a "legit" box, i think there is a pregnant woman with a red circle and slash through it because it is a class X pregnancy medication (which is damn hard for a drug to get).

It also has a bunch of side effects such as depression and suicidal tendencies and also, patients have to have liver enzymes and labs drawn to determine possible toxicity. The KEY to effectively using Accutane is to constantly talk to your doctor about side effects you are having, both physically and mentally.

However in my readings and lectures, I don't remember Accutane causing Crohn's Dx

don't use any of the antibiotics. there completely horrible, really hard on your body and stop working when you go off of them. there is no point. they wrecked my stomach for six months after i stopped taking them.

Ive heard great things about accutane at low doses. 10mg/day or every other day. im going to do this next pct.

I don't mean to be hinting at this product. The product is not available yet. Here is some info. The main ingredient is very common but never used in high enough doses to help with the acne. I wasn't sure it was going to work but I am taking two a day and it helped me more than anything I have used but keep in mind I have never used Accutane. I want to see what others think once they use it. Acnidren -
