    taking a break during cycle or PCT

    currently in week 7 of a 10 week test e cycle and will be starting pct in weeks 12-15.

    Just had worst workout in awhile last night...called it quits after 3 sets of deads and 3 supersets of pullups and dips. Felt really fatigued by the end of day lately and it's probably been between 2-3 months since I've taken a week off from lifting.

    Don't know if this should be in the training section but since it deals with timing a break while on cycle I think it's appropriate. I am thinking I should take a week off now so I still have two weeks on plus the two weeks the esters will be clearing when I come back.

    I guess what I am asking is how do the vets in here handle taking time off from the gym while cycling?

    I say give yourself a little break. If you keep feeling the way you do, your workouts will be average at best, which means you'll just be spinning your wheels in the gym.

    Just make sure your diet is on point. Much won't change in just a week though, so you'll be ok. You may need that little break to regather yourself physically and mentally.

    I'd just take 3-4 days off now and see how you feel, maybe add an extra rest day into your split in the future. You probably don't really need a full week off but if you feel you do then go for it. No one knows your body like you do so no one can really answer that. Only thing I'll say is I wouldn't go more than a week personally, and definitely don't do it during pct lol. Make sure you're well rested going into pct so you can push through your workouts those first two weeks or so when you probably won't feel so motivated. For me two weeks is about the time I start getting decent pumps while lifting again and since you've dropped some water you really get to see the new muscle you've put on which helps keep you motivated

    I would never take a week off unless I was forced to do it due to illness or injury. The max time I ever take off is 2-3 days.
