Hey bros so I finally got my MRI results on this shoulder thing and it's not so good. I don't have insurance so I couldn't get both done but I went with the one that feels worse, and it turns out I did in fact tear my labrum... in two places. It's unclear whether it's a superior and and inferoposterior tear or if they're both connected in one large gnarly tear. My right shoulder feels almost identical so I think it's fairly safe to say that one's torn as well.
Super bummed, from day one (over 6 months ago) I've been hoping it wasn't my labrum though I kinda felt like it was. It's honestly about the most painful thing I've ever experienced, downright brutal on some days. Doctor was very not helpful and kinda said "it could be up to a year, or it could never heal right without surgery, since you can't afford to pay for it you're just gonna have to wait and see". I've actually had this pain years ago but it went away when I took about two years off from the gym. It came back right away pretty much though so I have little faith that it will EVER heal without the surgery. Pretty confident even if it feels fine in another 6 mos. it'll tear again if I start lifting. Sooo I really really need to find a way to get this surgery, any input there would be amazing.... Right now I'm headed to a sports doctor in another two weeks for a second opinion and hopefully will get some kind of guidance as to what the fuck I should do. Super bummed about everything obviously but just trying to keep positive that I will be ok by next year at least LOL. Anyway I know this isn't AAS related really but I've bitched and complained to enough of you guys I feel I should at least give an update haha.
On a side note, the MRI showed "hypertrophy of the acromioclavicular joint, with associated bone marrow edema". I can't really find much on what this is and the doc didn't even bother explaining. Any of you guys know exactly what part of my AC joint has grown and why? How will this affect me and is the bone marrow edema a really bad thing? Thanks again guys, any input at all would be appreciated
