    It was low T

With out going into all my past like the last post, but i did get the lab call today on my blood work. My T level is 150 , i have to have blood drawn again in the am. To check what is causing it? Also i did mention injection is all i will take. But i also am wondering if the amount that might be perscribed, will i not only feel better, but will i see any gains i have working on for years with hardly results?

You will definitely see results. You'll be going from the test levels of a woman, back to the levels of a man.

I hear you bro. Mine was at 140. Doc told me I have the T levels of an 80 yr old man. I know you're not usually going to feel any results for a couple of weeks, but it seems that after my first treatment (shot), my moodiness has started to subside.
Hopefully it's the shot and not just relief that I've finally been able to get some real help instead of some weak gel to smear on my chest.

All depends on how much mg's your put on ew or eow...personally I think you will only get the feel good from TRT protocol/dosage..

If you get a script from your doc you can get your scripted meds from costco or sam's for around $70

Your a.m. number will be your highest because thats when your natural test peaks.

I told my doc I have an infant at home and the gel was not an option for me...

I agree search long and hard for as many good sources as you can, and keep close tabs on them. It's much cheaper to do it yourself and you will more than likely want to take more than they prescribe you. 250-300mg a week feels great to me, they'd probably give you 125mg or lower. You might need to use some small amount of AI with this, possibly get bloodwork after the first 6 weeks to check your estrogen levels (look for the sticky on the previous page and you can get this test for $50). I generally just split up 1mg a-dex tab and take quarters throughout the week. I've experimented with my test dosage a bit so I sometimes use more or less than this, but I've had no issues with gyno or anything like that.

edit: just in case you're completely dumbfounded as to where to begin, you might find some helpful info in the sponsors sections

I got lucky, 4 months into Testim gel I developed a skin reaction and was switched to Androgel which I did not absorb at all. I was in a near coma at zero Testosterone until I got put on T-cyp injections and all was great after that!

Most patients will maintain around the 1000 nd/dL when taking 100 mg per week. A dose of 200 mg per week is likely to result in spikes probably at 2000 ng/dL. After regular use you are going to be supra-physiological much (if not all) of the time. This dose, for most people, is high if you want to stick with true HRT.

I just sat through a few lectures this weekend. One doctor uses a dose of 60 mg per week and heavy followups on labwork to make sure levels are maintained at the higher end of normal. Another HRT doc used 100 mg per week. I think 100 mg is becoming the norm, and probably best dose for MOST (not all) patients.

You can justify 200 mg per week when referring to the prescribing guidelines, which recommend 50-400 mg every 2-4 weeks. Most docs can use this without feeling they will be under scrutiny. The real way to know if you doc is trying to maintain you at the end of normal, or just give you a modest running dose on the higher end, is the amount of follow up blood work he/she is doing on you. It is possible some people NEED 200 mg; most don't though.

Most definitely, My test was 167ng, and my gp started me oput on 5% cream that is 50mg ed with an absorption rate of of 10-25%. If you break that down on the high side that is 87.5mg a week. The cost of the cream was $50/month. It didn't to anything for me to say the least. I am in the same boat as you, no insurance. If you do a normal trt dose 150-200mgwk of test cyp you can get 12-14 weeks for roughly the same cost. For me it was no brainer. I told my gp and he agreed.

Your injections should be once a week minimum. Twice a week is best to keep levels stable. Youre gonna crash by day 7.
