Hitting different sites with same needle

Say I had 2ccs to administer in one sitting, but wanted to split the shot between left and right pec. Would it be ok to administer both with the same needle, or should I switch needles after penetrating the skin? I've heard diabetics are told it's ok to reuse slin syringes multiple times, but IM might might be a whole different ballgame, so I thought I'd ask.

Your better off switching needles bro there cheap, there's a concern for infection though not likely still possible, with a dull need little hard to penetrate the skin and scar tissue build up.

Trust me bro the needle will get duller with each pin and you will risk more of an infection.its best to practice a new needle with each shot.

    practice safety.

Never reuse a needlle ever! It gets dull but also after you pin once and pull out the pin and blood and other fluids are exposed to bacteria in the air, re using it pushes all that stuff back into your body. I seriously threw up a bit thinking about this as i read it. Never re use, pins are cheap.

And the reason I thought it might be ok is because I hear about people aspiriting, pulling blood up but repinning all the time, and no one seems to knock them.

Everyone that asks questions like this should take a microbiology class and then come back and tell us what they learned.

    Change the needle.

But on the other hand when women get botox injections and they reuse the same needle for the whole procedure.

I'd use a new pin. The only time I've ever reused a pin was the one time I aspirated and drew blood, and honestly I still should have used a new pin.

Same thing as the aspiration -dare I say- myth O.O !!!

If not for the contamination, at least change for the pain of a dull needle.
