Thread: oils coming out after injection

I've noticed a little oil coming out one time. Are you going deep enough? Leaving the needle in for 20-30 seconds after injection without moving it preferably? I would switch to a different site if I were you. The one time I shot my shoulder it bumped up and took a minute for the oil to dissipate. That and I nicked a vein and it bled like hell lol good luck man but for now I would pin elsewhere.

What size needle are you using and where are you injecting?

I would say to use the Z-Track Injection method but you would have to use both hands.

I pull a 1/10 cc (maybe a smidge more) worth of air in after loading. That small bubble rises to the plunger when the syringe is inverted for injection. It seems to provide a post shove to the oil, pushing it down into the depot. Additionally it evacuates the needle before the needle is withdrawn. Using this approach I have not ever had any oil leak out of the site.

so you purposly inject air into your body? and only had oil come out 2 times and both times where a small drop. i imedaitly grabbed a swap put presson in the site and massaged it. after about a minuted i took off the swap and i was gtg.

to the OP: what size neelde are you using, where are you injecting, and hpow much oil are you injecting? as stated above you might not be getting deep anough or somthing

more info on this? i just stab it in, inject slow, hold the needle in for a few seconds pull it out swap and hold small pressure on the site for a few seconds and im gtg after that

2) WHERE are you going?
3) how often do you inject in that spot.

a small drop of oil is pritty normal, but to say a whole shot came out sounds off.

yah dont listin to this guy, thats just stupid thing to do.
I dont and i get the same result a drop or 2 of oil.

you put pressure and massage it? dont do that, you will only irritate it. move the body part so the fat over muscle naturally moves and will most likly cover it and stop the oil from comming out.

eg: delt shot with arm rested on table. shot finished. put arm down from table to normal hanging position... DONE lol
this shifts the skin and fat where you just injected and this is an air free way of doing it :-/

Im sorry but this is VERY bad advice. and I rec any newbies NOT listen.
sure it takes 2-5ml of air to kill a person, but is it safe to inject small amounts over a long time? I sure as hell dont think its very smart, and to save 5 cents worth of gear...

by pressure i mean a very small amount not pretty much just place my hand on the spot you know i dont mean like push the sking in lol. as for message i mean i move the upper area around not like huge amount of pressure. i always inject glutes so i just move the fatty area around i dont push down to the mucle. ive never had an irratation or anything like that. ive only had oil come out 2 times both times where only 1 small drop.

I'm pritty sure its when you pull the skin away from the spot, put pin in and inject then release the skin and pull pin out. this causes the hole to shift.

I personally feel its too much hassle and you have to use 2 hands which wont work for glute shots and some others.
so i just move the body part in a differing angle that when I was in when doing the shot.
Simple and works fine if your doing your shots half decent and not too often in same spot.
when oil is comming out and you have changed your angle just LIGHTLY whipe it a few times in 30-60sec and its done . atleast for me. and even then not much oil maybe at worse times 1/20 of a ml

I use an air bubble as well. Just enough to purge the needle. A little air won't hurt anyway.

gotcha! thats what i thought it ment but i wasnt sure. ya i shoot glutes so that wont work for me

I like to feel where in going and if in hitting a nerve and need to stop or slow down. not just tare it the hell up lol.
I usually take 10 sec or so sliding the needle in.
some may quiver, but I HATE pinning, but still find this the best way to go about it, slid the pin in in a even speed that takes about 5-10sec to get it in.

I found this over the years to end up in much better pinning and less (dart thown at my self) feeling lol

perfect vid though.
I like (when I did the z track thing) to just use 1-2 of my fingers to slide the skin away.

Did you not see where I specified 1/10 th of a ml?

It's a small bubble and this is not an IV injection.

Guys there is no SPECIAL way to inject, it's all on your injection technique and what size needle you use. Please people using air bubbles STOP, that is stupid and not needed. If you guys really want to keep the oil in, use the smallest pin you can use comfortably and still hit you muscle, and not subcutaneous tissue.

1,5'' 25g needle works like a fucking charm in glutes for me
