Got Blood Results Back. Looks like I have a hypothyroid.
This is shocking to me. She would only tell me that my testosterone was "normal" which doesn't really tell me anything because "normal" ranges from 200 to 1200. Everything else was good but she said it looks like I have a hypothyroid. She wouldn't tell me my TSH or T3 or T4 levels though so that makes it impossible for me to know what the cause is and how to self-medicate. Wtf is wrong with doctor's offices? I'm the patient, I think I have a right to know my levels do I not?
Whatever. I apparently have hypothyroidism of some kind, and I have to go back next week to get a "double check" blood test.
It's weird because I'm a protoypical ectomorph and I have trouble putting on weight even at 4000+ cals off cycle. I always assumed I had an overactive thyroid.
I don't know anything about the thyroid issue, but your doctor must tell you your results if you ask, that is law. She must provide documentation if you ask as well. It's your health, if she has a problem I would give her the lecture and tell her she is not upholding her oath as a medical professional. She is obligated by law to provide whatever you ask for in terms of testing results and diagnosis. Period. If you can't trust your doctor, you need to find another one. Be more forward with her about this stuff. Hope it all works out for you.
And idk if this makes a difference in the legal aspect of withholding information, but it wasn't my doctor I talked to. It was just a receptionist, probably a medical assistant, so she may have just been retarded about bloodwork. It was via phone call as well.
a medical assistant cannot give abnormal results over the phone. go by the office to pick up a copy of the lab results. they'll have them there.
i was dx'd with hypothyroidism about 4-5 years ago. always had trouble building mass, always had a fast metabolism. it's pretty common though. my tsh goes off the charts without synthroid, but my t3, t4 values have always been pretty stable. i've only had the really obscure symptoms though: midday lethargy, eye lashes and eyebrows shed like crazy, and severely forgetful. pretty stupid disease really. thank god i don't have to co-pay for those meds for life or i'd be pretty pissed.

Thanks bro. I can't really ID any outright symptoms really, but it would be cool to have legal synthroid on deck for cutting cycles.
