I've always read that insulin is scary stuff to play with. My advice would be dont do it. Maybe there is some guru on here that knows the best answer to your problem but no gains you can get from it are worth risking your life.
23Likes So just a little background
Ive been running Insulin (humulin r intramuscularly) pre workout for about 4 weeks now with great results; (during this time I have been cruising on 300mg test per week)
I worked my way up to 12iu while having 35g karbolyn with the shot, and 40g karbolyn during my workout, I honestly had no major issues and I felt very comfortable with my protocol...
Until today; see last week I began my blast by adding Provirion (25mg ed), Tren e (500mg/week), and EQ (600mg/week). I literally have only been taking these three on top of my test for ONE week. So today I went to train hams and calves as usual and after my 2nd set or so the slin hit me like a freight train; I immediately knew something was wrong so I downed the rest of my intra workout drink, some additional karbolyn, a mountain dew, sweetarts, and tried to force a gatorade down my stomach while I spent the next hour sitting on the verge of passing out. After the 2hr mark I started to feel better as the insulins action began to subside.
So now reflecting on what happened the only thing I can come up with is that one of the three new compounds has increased my insulin sensitivity...? I took yesterday off and I remember the day before I felt a little light headed, so as it seems my insulin sensitivity has gradually ramped up.
Additional things I have done that stand out as a possible culprit seem to be
1. Started taking Hawthorne berry and 600mg ed beta sitosterol
2. Last night I drank a "detox" drink consisting of 24g Metamucil, 2tbsp lemon juice, and 2tbsp Natural Apple Cider Vinegar
In my mind the things that stand out the most seem to be either the tren or the "detox" drink from last night..
Any input would be greatly appreciated,
- RC

I'm a paramedic and I've woken up thousands of people on the verge of death from insulin. (via D50 IV)
Start by getting a glucometer. U didn't state anything about taking your sugar the whole time. Are u really using insulin and not carrying around a glucometer?

Need BG levels.
Looks like 12 iu is too much.

Insulin is nothing to play around with. I agree with Goodski, you must have your sugar levels in check after or even before pinning. I know a shit load of NPC guys that use slin, but always hear about close calls. Be careful
Yes I should have my bg levels but honestly i think if I would have taken the time to do that I would have passed out.
Either way, this is the conclusion I have came to,
1. That shit is scary; even though I ran it for quite a while with no problems, that was an instant reminder insulin is some potent stuff.
2. An IFBB pro on another board has suggested that everybody stay below 3iu of insulin, he claims a research study in 2000 proved that the recovery on 10iu was no better than 3iu for men... Personally I feel that is safe at this point, I am going to switch to post workout and only do 3iu with a shake with probably 20g karbolyn...

buy the true test meter at rite aid or walgreens for $10, and you can get the test strips for $15 off amazon. 12ius is alot. Thats about 2-3 meals worth of insulin. Test will make you more insulin sensitive and being on cycle you will need to increase carbs as well. insulin should always follow food. you need to eat around 25carbs for iu.
Your gonna need to be careful, people who had blood sugar crash from insulin and werent diabetic but injected with insulin have become diabetic immediately after.
Apple Cider Vinegar ? THE URBAN CLINIC
Here is the apparent cause of the change in my insulin sensitivity...
(there is a link to a study by the American Diabetes Association within also)
For all you know u had a cardiac event since u didn't take your blood sugar. It could have been 600 and u wouldn't know. Can't argue. Get a glucometer.

I have worked up to 15 IU and take it pre workout. Humulin R..I have my meals in me before (up to that point of the day) and take a MHP Up Your Mass shake and my water to the gym. I nurse on the shake after about 20 mins in the gym. I keep a large bottle of glucose tablets in my gym bag and never have an issue up to three to four hours out. At times I will get shocky after four hours. I feel it comming and get sugar right away..Cold sweats and a feeling of spaciness and RAVENOUS..usually no problems tho. I have done it post lift as well and really tell no diff. I would NEVER do it intramusc tho..That will introduce it way too fast and lose most of the shuttling effect for your carbs and proteins..I Just cant say enough that in the muscle is not the way you do this..Shoot it in the gut and dont rub it either because that will disperse it too fast as well.
Im also going to back down the IUs..I really tell no diff with the bigger doses..just uses a hell of a lot of slin!

hmmmm 3iu's post workout for recovery.... intersting![]()
If I was to ever take slin it would be post workout. Fuckkkkkk going hypo at the gym. I see no need unless your competing or have tried everything else an have done a shit load of research then maybe. But me for my goals I'd never mess with it

I've taken up to 15iu post workout, but I've never had any episodes. Maybe I'm extremely insulin resistant? I bought at a pharmacy so I know it's real slin...
But I've never really felt the effects of insulin from low blood sugar.

yeah people say blasting and cruising is for competitors only... but u can't die from that shit... whereas with insulin, you definitely can
considering that.. id say only use insulin if you are going to try to go pro.. because you really are risking ...basically everything.

this was a good read. i enjoy working out alot. im going to try a cycle following heavy's sticky when im ready. but man some of you guys are doing scary stuff. i mean scary for me. lol. just be careful with whatever your doing. not worth your health

I have had that moment several times... I also use slin preworkout but i have never had the moment in the gym. I think what people who haven't had that moment don't fully grasp is the mental state of mind when that happens. It's really an odd feeling mentally. You can feel it coming, you get clammy and sweaty and if your not on top of it, it gets out of control fast. And feel like your on drugs, you don't process information correctly.
I have done maybe 20 six week insulin cycles where I have gone up to 18 units. I do carry a meter and I have a diabetic bracelet that I took the badge of and put in my wallet. Truthfully in my use that moment has only happened 3 or four times. I caught it several times before it got out of control. I don't believe it's nearly as risky as common bro science would make you believe. However it's not for the unintelligent, unknowledgeable and/or undisciplined.
Dude, Im an ER nurse and we give 10-15 units for blood sugars at greater than 500 and it get some down to 250 within an hour!! Imagine if your BG is 60-100!!! You could go into a coma or die from using that much. The shit aint nothin to be playin with. Im inexperienced with gear but ive given enough insulin to know a few things... i dont give it to anyone that doesnt have an IV and i never give it without having BG level first.
I'm a type 1 diabetic and depend on insulin daily just to live... I'm amazed u guys even experiment with this stuff, fortunately for me I have a continuous glucose monitor and have access to what my current glucose levels r at the click of a button. Now 12 units of insulin! Holy shit!!! Usually u take 1 unit of insulin for 15 grams of carb...and that's a conservative calculation. You took enough I insulin to eat well over 250 grams of carbs, Insulin in nothing to mess around with, stay safe.

I've had a scare like that. I used 10iu and spend the next two hours sitting on the couch with a bag of sugar trying not to pass out. :[
sticking to 5iu now

LMAO..I almost spit my coffee out reading this.
Throwing caution into the wind when using slin is "broscience"..but trying to figuring out how much slin to take so it doesn't kill you isn't?? I know this isn't exactly what you said but your staement still struck me amazingly ironic.
Keep o the whistling past that graveyard... I'm really fascinated by this topic, what do u hope to gain by injecting insulin??

4 pm take 10 ius slin
6pm drink 50g Karbolyn 50g protein creatine
sip on karbolyn through out work out
630 50g karbolyn BCAA 5g creatine
715 white rice and protein drink
