    Coronary Heart Disease and Strokes

as people who use drugs that generally fuck up our lipid profiles, it is important to understand what really causes CHD and strokes, and how to mitigate the risks

it used to be widely accepted that lipids were what determined the risk for CHD and strokes, but evidence is surfacing that the risk is actually largely (if not almost entirely) influenced by genes.

regardless, it is important to do what we can to keep our lipid profiles positive. There is evidence that very low carb diets have a beneficial impact on HDL, and make LDL particles larger (which is a good thing), while reducing triglycerides.

does anyone have any information/studies that they would like to share

it'd be cool if we could have a discussion about this stuff, because i feel that not enough attention is given to it

From personal experience, since switching to Keto diet and incorporation some intermittent fasting, my triglycerides levels dropped below the normal range (which was flagged in my blood test lol) and my HDL/LDL were within range even while being on cycle (moderate dose).

Not a scientific study by any means, but my results say that I must be doing something right with my diet. I feel a lot better too.

i really think that healthy living and training improves quality of life but genetics rule the day as far as how it ends

luckily, the only heart attack that has been in my family (for at least 3 generations) was my grandfather who was 86 at the time (survived somehow), and has been chain-smoking since he was 16 (and has been sedentary with horrible diet for the past 10-15 years)

my other grandfather has had a few strokes in his 80s (survived all of them, but half of his face is paralyzed.. creepy as fuck) but high blood pressure runs in that side of the family (also smoked and drank heavily).. luckily i took after the other side, and my blood pressure is normal even on a blast

needless to say, im glad to see that these disorders are strongly influenced by genetics lol

also, what causes ur heart to hypertrophy?

i've heard working out does. I've also heard that aas does as well... but there is speculation that this only becomes significant when aas is combined with hgh that is systemic

    any thoughts?

Mostly test, dbol, oral winstrol, some AI and serms here and there. Total dosage per week around 500-750mg. I took the test just a few weeks after I was off cycle. I am now on test/primo/tren (200mg/200mg/350mg a week), gonna do a blood test at the end of december and we'll see how it goes.

Healthy diet and lifestyle definitely helps, but I think most of it is genetic unless you reallyy push it. Obviously if you're 400lbs and smoke 2 packs a day you won't make it so long, but for the average person its just luck. Quality of life however I think definitely is improved by being in shape

that's significant because orals destroy lipid profiles

I guess.. I was running around 30mg of dbol and 50mg of winnie, but just for like 4-5 weeks, plus around 500mg of test/week.
