BP machine
Does anyone know where I can go to get my BP tested? Ever since I started my blast I feel like my BP is up and I can feel a vein in my forehead pumping blood or having spasms. I went to the machine you find at a supermarket and it read 172/93. I was really surprised b/c I have it checked at my doc every month and I'm always around 120/80 except this last month it was 130/80. I looked down on the machine and it says the machine is intended for arms of circumferences of 9 to 13 inches. I'm not a huge guy but my arm is closer to 16" so I think that might throw my reading off. I want to monitor my BP closely b/c my last cycle it was high too but now that I think about it, I used the same machine and it would read really high like 140 to 150/90 so maybe it wasn't high and I just relied on a machine that was reading high b/c it's intended for older people with smaller arms.

omron is the brand I always recommend. If the cuff is too small it'll give you a false high reading. you should get a bigger cuff for it.

If you don't buy a cuff, doesn't your walgreens have a station to test it. in WI, there are also many grocery stores with pharmacies in them that have these machines. I used these kiosk thingys thought my cycle to check my BP...

I'll look into it. The machine I used just about cuts my circulation off and there's no way I went from 130/80 to 172/93 in a couple weeks. Well at least I don't think that's possible so I think the machine is giving me a false reading. Originally Posted by exphys88

You can get thigh cuffs too.... Even the machines in the stores only go up to like 15 inches or so

Went to the doc today. BP was 128/74. That stupid machine gave me a bad reading. Also, I was on TRT injections for a month and did 5 shots over 4 weeks at 100 mg per pin and my test came back at 750. I was on androgel before so I'm not sure if maybe that skewed the test upward a little. I was off the androgel for a couple weeks when I did the blood test.
