I am on HRT and Anastrozole. Recently I have noticed a stinging sensation when I start to sweat. I did a little search and found that there are reports of women on Arimidex (anastrozole) that have similar side effects.
I am wondering is anyone else has had this side effect?

From a womens cancer forum
Tamoxifen and stinging sensationOk. This sounds strange but I've been on Tamoxifen for about 45 days with no side effects but in the last two weeks have noticed that when I exercise, mow the yard, etc that causes me to sweat that I have a stinging sensation on my skin. It's almost like a burning feeling. When I stop sweating the stinging goes away. If I cool down or take a shower it goes away. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've read a side effect of Tamoxifen is itching but that makes me think it means itching all the time. This is not itching but stinging and only when I perspire and then its gone. Has anyone else had this experience?

I know if I'm running any ai to high my skin dries out, especially on my back,, it feels like my skin is crawling with ants or tearing for the first 20 minutes of my work outs, it was horrible., I had to use a moisturizing body wash till I figured out what it was.

I never had this issue no, sorry
Sometimes those symptoms are caused by a yeast infection called tinea versicolor...when you sweat does your back have small red spots? Does it dry out and have dry patches? Another sign is if you lay in a tanning bed you get tan then have white spots that show up a few days after. If so get selsun blue..make sure it has selenium sulfide in it. Put it on affected area, wet it, and wait for 10 minutes then rinse it off.

I'm sorry to inform you that this proves you are a female.

I lowered my dose, was using letro at .25mg/day. lowered it to .125mg/day. I didnt get bloods before I lowered it but after my estro was 20.1 and no problems. I had no red spots or anything. It was just like I had dry skin that sweating made me really notice it. Like I became really itchy when I started to sweat at the beginning or a workout to the point that I couldn't focus.
