to combat catabolism.....
Just a quick question to you all...
Is there anything that you guys do in particular to prevent your body from catabolism? For example, there are supplements that supposedly helps combat that. Any info regarding this would be helpful! |

Food and continuing to work out
I'm sure that didn't help. Since you need some form of break down to build tissue, I can't say I believe catabolic activity is that great if you eat and are contuing your workout plan.

Heh, can't say it much better than that. When your an anabolic freak, what catabolics are there??? Postive nitrogen retention and massive diet, dont know what else can really be done, and I dont think ANYTHING would show the same benefits as just plain old doing gear and eating like a mofo.
Those are our "anticatabolics" ![]()

What are you looking for here, a long term solution like something you want to take for the rest of your life? They are all "anabolics" and each one of them has their drawbacks, I'm not sure what your searching for...
Some things I'd avoid like Winny, I dont want to ever touch it, although as I recall you have, to me its too risky. Things like deca sitting in the system for 18 months or so also make me nervous, then again, jobs dont test for gear so even if I were to job hunt, not a huge deal. EQ also sits in the system for about the same amount of time. Halotestin is another item I probably will never touch, doesn't seem to be all that great anyway. BCAAs sound good, if they dont break the bank.

Cytadren (aminoglutetethimide) inhibits the production of cortisol and it's most popular among competitive athletes who are drug tested, as this substance is currently not banned or tested for. Medically it is used to treat Cushing's syndrome, a condition in which the body overproduces cortisol. When used as an anticatabolic, a schedule of 2 days on 2 days off is effective. Drug cant be taken daily when used by healthy individuals. After a short period of regular use, you body will overcome the activity of Cytadren, resulting in your body resuming normal cortisol production. 2 day on 2 day off regime has been implemented in an attempt to delay or avoid this response. As for the daily dosage, athletes usually use from 1/2 to 2 tablets for 4-6 weeks. It is often used between cycles to avoid muscle mass loss.

However, you will find that many argue against the use of blocking cortisol just as some dont agree with blocking estrogen in a "flat out" fashion.
